I heard that if you preorder from best buy you get an Mtar or TAR but gamespot gives you an MLG map, wtf is up with that? Will you be able to get this in the game or are they exclusive to preordering it?

At Gamestop you get a new map well its not to new there is already a MLG map its called convention center the gamestop map is just a different version of the MLG map and at best buy you get the tar21 its just an early unlock if you don’t pre order from best buy you will just have to unlock the gun later in the game I suggest you pre order it from gamestop.

I think you phrased what you said in a confusing manner, so I'll clear it up a bit.

When you preorder from Gamestop, you will recieve the "exclusive" MLG map. This MLG map is just a different version of the "Convention Center" map that everyone gets with the game.

So only the people who pre-order through "there" will get the MLG map. Lol, so what? How many people are going to be playing it then... 20 in total or something? I'm not going to pre-order it but ill get it the 18th or earlier.

Note, I said "exclusive" with "". In my opinion, I think the map will be released later for free, or a small fee.

Indeed. bumpkin40, are you familar with Halo 3's Forge system? That is the level editing thing built in, where you can move objects, vehicles, and weapon spawns, and spawn points around?

It's kinda like they used Forge on the Convention Center map, and made it especially for the MLG people (as the MLG people have their own varients of the maps in Halo 3)

Keep in mind that Ubi has not said anything about what these bonuses are. Some people have said that the Tar21 code is just an early unlock, but I haven't seen that corroborated anywhere other than in rumors or speculation posted here and on other sites. The same goes for the "Comcast optimized" version of the MLG map. If you're set on preordering the game, I would suggest holding off until we get some OFFICIAL word of exactly what the bonus items get you and if there is another means of obtaining them.
