I've been saying that forever.

Just tweak LVU Campus, The Library, War Town and the Mexican Border Town to run on RSV2. Release it as DLC. I'd pay 10 bucks for that

You know what would totally be awesome? If we asked for some maps and they gave us 3.One map from a previous game and two maps we already have on the current game.

I really wish Ubisoft would make a new Rainbow Six. I have been playing this game when the PS2 came out as well as GR...I am glad there is a new GR and hope in 2011 there will be a new Rainbow Six.

I would pay also...if we got all those maps...but it's just a dream...Everyone I play with have been talking about those maps...but no such luck as of yet. I would be satisfied for a little while with those maps.

I agree.....just a few maps would make a lot of people happy till a new game comes along.

Sounds like a no brainer but it seems we are just ****ing in the wind!

I doubt there will be another R6 game until well after Call Of Duty Modern Warfare II had died down a little. COD MW I was called a Rainbow killer when it came out and it appears to still be holding true.

Don't get me wrong i'd hop on a new R6 game tomorrow if it came out. It just won't be any time soon.

Here are the facts.

Rainbow six vegas 2 is the 29th highest selling title for xbox 360

The first Vegas is the 34th highest selling.

Their combined total is 4 million copies sold, and although less than half of halo 3 and slightly more than half than Modern Warfare, it is too big of a title for Ubisoft to intelligently ignore

The Rainbow six franchise is nearly 20% of ubisoft's total xbox360 sales out of it's 43 total games released

It was the 4th highest rented game it's release year in 2008

Rainbow six vegas 2 was Ubisoft's 3rd best selling game on xbox 360

Furthermore, Call of Juarez did only 250,000 copies sold for the 360 and they are releasing a sequel... I mean come on... you really think that they aren't going to invest in their real money makers???

They will come out with another one as long as they have the licensing. They will probably announce it similarly to how they did Vegas 2, in close proximity to it's release date. Furthermore, they aren't going to attempt to compete with activision and be completely overshadowed by modern warfare 2. So There will be another rainbow... not vegas(thank god). But there will be another rainbow, ubisoft makes too much money off the title to not keep it coming. I personally believe that ubisoft realizes that their shooting games were completely embarrassed by activision and acknowledges that if it wishes to stay competitive will need to push the systems to its capabilities much as the CODs have. That means that they will have to start from scratch and truly work to produce something that is at least in the same league as it's current competition. I sincerely hope I'm right.

Note, the statistics were only from the 360... I don't care about ps3 so I didn't bother looking them up.

Also believe that they should bring the maps like LVU campus back because that will surely bring back some players from the original

COD4 is hardly pushing any limits.Fun game but nothing special. It just came out at the right time, was put together good and had proper support with DLC. Things R6 is unfortunately not getting.

I'm looking forward to the new $50-60 patch they sell with a new generic story, that includes more bugs than an ant nest battle.

Rainbow Six games will always have a generic story.

Terrorists are threatening world/America's security so rainbow six has to run along and kill them all. That's what the story always has been and always will be. There's nothing wrong with that story, it works as far as making first person shooters go.

I've still got my original Rainbow Six game for the playstation. I tried playing it a few days ago and got annoyed at the lack of ability to uninvert aim. (Yes, I know it's not ubisoft, I'm just showing off how oldschool I am.)

I personally would like a multinational game again, not one sat in bloody vegas again. I'd like to see something in the orient, big open map that's slightly ghost recon style, but still with the cqb/hostage/bomb set up that's synonymous with r6. I'd also like to see the return of premission set up. Such as being able to choose which entrance to deploy via and what kit my team will have.

Lastly, please make sure your NPC team have voices that don't annoy you after more than three missions. I'm english, London in fact, but I cannot handle Michaels' bloody accent.

I'll agree with Anti-Personnel keeping optimistic... making another Rainbow Six project with all the latest technological hardware and software is almost like making a new movie. The planning phase would take months or even years to get it right. Then there is the research like what Anti said about locations and let's include technical advisors certain tactics and strategies. Let's not forget about the villainous groups the team will face. You cannot just ask up from how a terrorist works... the basis that is provided is from media and news sources and with a little imagination, then you have the terrorist motive. Maybe this is also the reason why that the movie Rainbow Six itself has taken a delay for 3 years and would not be surprised if it delays itself another 3... There are no even casts members yet to take these roles. So far I can only wait in patience.

Ok, look people.
No more Vegas games. 2 was the last Vegas game.
that came from an official at ubisoft.
however he also said that there would be other rainbow six games, just not set in Vegas.
can't find it on the net so take this with a grain of salt. i believe i read it in game informer.
i hope the new one will return to it's tactical roots, i also miss plotting how the mission will play out, choosing kits, etc.
