Do you by chance have a SATA DVD drive??
I have 2 computers with both SATA and IDE drives. I can install Vegas 2 on SATA, but it won't read the disk to launch the game because of Ubisoft's protection software, but it will work on the IDE drives. If you have SATA drives, find an IDE and give it a try! |

I also have a SATA drive and it works.
After patching to 1.03 though, it seems to be more sensitive to software like PowerISO and such things wich can emulate CD roms. I suggest you try removing or deaktivating any such software. Also make a dircet link to the R6Vegas2_Game.exe file. This message has been edited. Last edited by: FirePhucka, |

I am running no other software, or virtual drives. I have both Liteon and Samsung Sata's (2 of each) and neither will read the disk. Maybe some brands will and some won't?? All of my IDE's will read with no problems. But if FOX is running SATA DVD it would sure be worth a try to see if IDE would work. |
