But anyway, I don't mean this as an insult, but your style of gameplay is exactly what is killing the Rainbow Six series. The mindless grenade throwing, blind shooting, spray and pray type of style is what killed the tactical nature of the series.

All I can say is good thing for aim assist. And I would have to agree with it's a video highlighting how low the R6 franchise has become.

Well I respect you opinion, i'm not here to argue but you do realize that I did not post this video to have snappy comments directed towards me.

Maybe if I was old enough to play this game when it first started out years ago I would have a different opinion but I take what the game lets me do and I use it to my full advantage.

But when you do post here, you do have to take into account the kind of community we have here and you have to predict the outcome os posting a video like that. You know what I mean?

I would never come in here and start talking trash to random people I don't even know. Whether or not our opinions are the same I think it is a bit rediculous to go crazy on me based on how the game can be played.

While yes it is the forums and you can express your opinion a simple "this shows what this game has come to now" is okay to say. When people come in here and start disrespecting me that is completely different.

This community is broken in my opinion. Everybody justs complains and trashes on Ubi and is always blaming things on them. All the negetivity seems to be contagious cause it wasn't like this 1 year ago. This community is like a high school and hating on Ubi seems to be what all the other kids are doing these days.

Who else is there to blame isnt UBI the ones who promised a great game that turned out to be an unfinished game that has the same glitches and crap that Vegas 1 has. They say they want to appeal the community but they only want a bigger fanbase since those of us who like tactical shooters are not big enough for them so they change everything up to appeal the run n gun people. The same has been happening with every other Tom Clancy game UBI is changing them all to get more money from the run n gun crowds.

Nobody is trashing on you, we're just pointing out that auto-aim does all the work and MLG is a steaming pile.

And "aim assist" just encourages mass button smashing. Why this feature was even included in the PC version is beyond me. I'm sure in the next iteration of R6 we will have bunnies and dolphins as well.

Don't take this as a personal attack on you phobia but the only thing missing from your video was you hopping around during the whole video and then we would have Quake, Doom, UT, (insert any cliche twitch shooter). All games have tactics but the gameplay of older R6 games were unique and required unique tactics to be successful. Vegas 1 and 2 are no longer require the unique tactics, that made it popular to begin with, to be used. Instead, as shown in your video, it has become a mockery of it's predecessors and mimics your everyday run-of-the-mill twitch shooter.

Though with the recent addition of High Stakes Mode I have been enjoying Vegas 2 to a point. It is a step in the right direction but still far from true Rainbow Six.

I guess I'm to old school when it comes to being part of communities, I have this idea that everyone should try to be nice to eachother and even try to promote who ever is part of the community in a positive way. What I see here is nothing like "the good old days" where people actually would rather say what the user did good and what he or she could improve and not insult there gaming style.
Clearly these days are long gone, and other "old schoolers" no longer thinks it's of any importance of being nice (which is pretty obvious judging by some of your posts).

EDIT: This guy clearly plays allot of matches, he is active and he thinks this is fun and that my friends is what gaming are supposed to be all about. What is it to any of you if he happens to like the game or not ? That's not even the discussion. Hurray for productive people that help keeping ANY GAME ALIVE!!

I'm not saying that you guys should not be able to express your hatred in how the rainbow series have turned out, what I'm saying is simply "you could possibly do it in another thread" ? and not make every thread into a discussion where you express your frustrations towards the game ?
A suggestion is grow up and post new topics if you feel like, but leave productive people alone if you have nothing better to say..

These are also lessons for my selves as I sometimes makes posts that contradict what I say above. Let's at least try ?!

I've seen you talk highly about RvS over and over again, never mentioning that the gameplay of the series where already ruined in RvS, I'll regret saying this I'm sure, but sometimes I doubt you have ever touched RvS at all, if you did you would remember the senseless nade spam, the running around scoped, running around scoped while nading, etc. etc. the list is long and the Rainbow series where already ruined with the release of RvS!

@phobia_x....I do certainly applaud you for your bravery in posting a link to your video here. As you can see, diversity is not this group's forte, and anything that is remotely considered as going against the tide of unique elitest tactics of yesteryear, will be crushed with no remorse.

Given that, I still applaud you....although the background music was a bad choice, but let's not go there...for posting here and demonstrating that you are at least indulging in matches and tournaments, something that I doubt very few here are participating in. Don't you find it paradoxical ? The fact that the elitests complain that the unique skills of yesteryear have disappeared, never to be experienced or seen ever again, and yet they spend every waking moment posting here on a game that, as they succinctly put it, has "died" and that they themselves don't even compete in.

So I tip my hat to you....you're doing a fine job....continue to play, compete and enjoy the game for what it is. I for one would very much like to see your tournament footage when it becomes available. You're a shining example of someone that is at least having fun instead of moaning and groaning about the past "glories".

And I love the fact that you guys obviously turned off the post-processing effects crap.....now that was a bad idea from the outset.

Speaking your mind and not acting all Politically Correct doesn't mean we are insulting everybody... that is probably what is also wrong here, eveyone is just used to play nice for fear of of the other person getting insulted.

UBI plays the same thing in this case and so is everyone else, hence, why we don't have any adult games anymore (and I don't mean virtual porn either! ), everything revolves around what the masses want to play... what's fun about that at the end of the day if each and every other game plays the same?

The moderators really set a good example in here.Picking fights with people over such small things like whats on a video or what isnt.Are you kidding? I can tell by the moderators comments that he has no idea what goes into being able to play on this level.Spray and pray? Its obvious to any veteran of this game that phobia isnt doing s&p and the so called "blindly" throwing grenades is bs.Those grenades go to places where people commonly go or their throwing them at people they see,their not just "blindly" throwing them.Your obviously just mad because you will never be as good as some of the top players so you resort to bashing and picking fights.

I could not agree more about the Forum Admin, he should be ashamed in my humble opinion.
