I guess a lot of people lost interest. I haven't played in about a month as well and I'm not on vacation. The game is just sitting on the shelf watching me play GTA 4. I'd really like for Ubi to address the bullet lag issue, but it seems the problem is non-existent to them. They're more worried about spawn camping fixes and sound loops, which in their own right should be fixed, but not as important as fixing bullet lag.

I agree.

I'm surprised ANYBODY is still playing it despite all of the problems and new games that have came out recently.

I only have 3 days left of the MGO Beta (which I'm highly addicted to) then I MIGHT play it again here and there, but I doubt it.

I'll probably sell both COD4 and R6V then wait till MGO comes out in June.

Until then I got Gran Turismo and GTA.

No Ferret5550, you're not the only one. I also love Vegas because it is fun. The new game types keep the game interesting to me. Although it does help when you only play it with your friends. It's not much fun going into a room by yourself.

I know this is completely off topic but am I the only one who doesn't understand why people don't talk more in 2? If yo have the radar up it displayes your location, example on cqb training it marks buildings as east and west below the radar. Yet when i shout out an enemy location every goes "uhhh, i dont know what west building is."

Nice to see someone mention the friend factor. If you are on with friends, your experience can be extremely fun. If you play for recreation(initial purpose of games), an AI spawning where you don't expect would just be something to laugh about.
The friend factor holds true with all games.

My only turn-off to online play is the ignorance you face. VERY DRAINING.

And built it for and marketed it to a user base that only wants to play 3 different maps at most. Really, they don't even want that many. They just want Calypso so they can keep doing the same thing for the 10,000th time. *yawn*

Villa has become that map. In my last search for a game, here is the list of maps being played. Villa, CQB Training, Villa, Villa, Trainyard, Villa, Villa, Villa, CQB Training, Villa, Convention Center, Kill House, Kill House, Villa, Villa, Villa, Villa, Villa, Villa, Presidio, Villa.... You get the picture.

I like only MP versus in this game, and I like that a good bit, I however hate Terrorist Hunt, both co-op and SP, simply because of the triggered spawns ... go inside a room, go just outside the door and in again and suddenly theres a lot of enemies, Murdertown is the worst.

lol, well its a not much of a comparison is it. hmmm vacation in Hawaii vs Vegas2. i know what i would prefer.

i'm a long time player of R6 series. now since R6 v1.0 there has always been an R6 version installed on my HD, and i've never been bored with it. It was just fun to play it overand over with so many different outcomes, and extreme difficulty that forces you to try new bullet types, try new weapons, tactics etc....

but, this R6 Vegas 2 , im bored with it now. the reasons are:
1. Challenges killed it for me, they are there so you feel the need to complete them, I've complete some of the challenges, but i think COD challenges are more fun. therefore this is the main reason ive lost interest.
2. This was the only R6 that ive ever played storyline for some reason. and i thought it was way too arcade-like, short, and unrealistic.
3. Online storymode coop is a complete flop, and wasnt worth the developers time putting it there.
4. Although i enjoy terrorist hunt, theres too many arcade features like health regen and 3rd person looking around corners, that basically COD does better.
5. The guns seem to be ficticiously balanced rather than realistic balanced. Theres no need to fictitiously balance things in sims, because real life balances them better.

I just want to add this about challenges in video games.

Sure, they are nice, and give people a goal.

However, if you are only playing a game to complete the challenges and otherwise find the game boring - there is a fundamental problem with the game play in that game, or the game is just not a good match for you.

You should be playing a game because the actual game play is fun and you would be playing it regardless of challenges. The challenges should be an "extra" value, not a player's motivation for playing the game.

Well i bought an R6 game because they (previous series titles) dont have goals in them. I dont like goals because they draw your attention away from the gameplay and are addictive. Like a packet of cigarettes, if you got them, you'll smoke them, even if you dont really fancy one.
So this for me was main reason, (apart from the patch destroying the game completely), that i am really bored with it.

Exactly - if you are only playing a game to get the goals, what are you left with after you get them all? Not much.

If you are playing a game because it is purely fun to play, then it lasts much longer.

I play cause it's fun! I have made a few comments on the respawns in this game but it's so easy to look past. People get bored because they suck at the game, it's that simple. It's not the run and gun type like COD4, sure it has a run button, but it's completely useless in CQB. True gamers will keep playing, whiners will quit.

r6Vegas was the best r6 game that i've came across.

r6v [ part 1 ] when it was released was innovative in many ways,
the graphics
the game play
the first person game play with 3rd person cam when ur behind a cover the list goes on...

i've played r6vegas for a looooong time.
it was my no:1 fps game till i came across COD4.
with in the last 8 months i've played
r6vegas
gears of war
crysis
unreal tournament 3
call of duty 4
r6vegas 2

now as per me
COD4 is the best fps game ever then come r6vegas
but r6vegas 2 is a big disappointment to me.

some bad things about r6v2

* the graphics was not good enough. [ developers pls learn from infinity ward, how to innovate ]
* story mode was short n borin. [ COD4 story mode was short but sweet ] most of the time kept ignorin wht was happein in the story and was tryin the finish the story mode... since it was borin me..
* The guns seem to be fictitiously balanced.
* Challenges where not as attractive as the one's in COD4
* dynamics of many objects where totally wrong n made me fell i'm in some kind in zero gravity zone at times.

some good things about r6v2

* the addition of sprint feature was really helpful
* terrorist hunt was good especially the addition of bot assistants for backup.
* bullet penetration for softer surface was a good addition.
* the addition of challenges where a good thought but need to be more attractive / addictive[ coz after a perticul stage when the player have reached the top most rank, the challenges will promt him to play again n again ]

after finishin the story mode n playin online for 4-5 hrs now r6v2 is back in my shelf in the dust along with crysis, gears of war, unreal tournament 3 n r6 vegas.

i still play COD 4 which i got in last November.
even though i've reached the highest rank,
i'm still playing for completing the challenges,
the fun in the intense game play, the gr8 graphics, the customize able class system, the additional perks that helps me make a deadly class of my taste... the list goes on when i talk about the COD4.

my suggestion to the developers in the get a copy of COD4 n play it... then u'll find out why that game is the best... n get an idea about how make the nxt r6 the best in the market n beat COD4...

good luck guyz i've got nothin aginst u i still appriciate ur effort for r6Vegas 1... that was gr8 innovative game..

The game is good but its not what it used to be its something that could have been more realistic and tactical.
