So does any one know what is next for the Rainbow Series? I’m sure they will do as they did last time and have a few more maps to come out. But what about future stories, is it in discussion, a few plans in the making? any one have any info?

  • Even for a flop on pc i got to admit that the vision of the artist(s) for Vegas is beyond speech. What i am seeing in game now is by far the best i have seen in any other game for realism. (coding) was the problem.
  • For a community that had potential to help YOU(UBI) they are the ones lurking in the shadows waiting for something better and you refuse to help. Even yourself.? This I don't understand.
  • Release some tools to the pc community for an over all better RaInbow 6 division.

Next up is Ground Branch, GB will make it pointless for ubi to even release a Tactical FPS again, at least for PC.

Ubi will continue to make voice games in the future, where you control everything with a mic, and just sit back and pick your nose while scratching under your one arm. True gaming you know Smile

I thought I read somewhere that official word was that whatever the next installment of Rainbow is, it will not be set in Vegas again.

At the very least, that is encouraging.

But I think we are looking at some serious downtime until the next chapter in this thing. Such a freakin shame. UBI has to sell this franchise.

They won't! UBI paid 120 million dollars to get all (gaming) rights to use the name "Tom Clancy" on their games. So we will see a lot more Tom-Clancy-Games in rapid succesion in the near future until they got their money back.

I am looking forward to the release of "Ground Branch" from Blackfoot Studios. This is a small company, founded by the former lead level designer John Sonedecker, who was part of the team that developed the original Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon titles. They work together with real special forces operators - and they really want to make it RIGHT, because they love tactical shooter THEMSELVES!!!

I predict, that BFS with a 5-men-team and low budget will develop a better CQC game than the next Rainbow Six title from UBI.

next they will remove iron sites and give you the ability to hop around like mad men. Therefor, we leave ubi for Stalker and the when OFP2 comes out then we have a truelly tactical game.

I don't know this would be encouraging, whether it be in Vegas or the Middle East, if the game is half-a$$ed, faulty & glitchy (read: unplayable) and we will continue to have the lack of support we have gotten from UBI since 3 or 4 years ago... it will be the same POS game as Vegas I & II!

What does it take to get a simeple answer from UBI about the PC? GRAW I & II, Vegas 1 & 2 were throwned to the Lion's den and now FC2 is going to suffer the same fate? How Proud are you UBI?

Of course it isn't gonna be in Vegas. I hope though that its 10x better than Vegas which I still think is fun.

I'm looking forward to STALKER: Clear Sky as well. I'm getting it through Steam. I noticed that HAWX, Far Cry 2, and Brothers in Arms will be releasing on Steam and there is no way I'm getting them. I'm tired of poorly optimized ports from the 360 and developers who don't know how to use the Unreal engine. I'm tired of fixing Ubisoft games. I'm tired of helping other people fix Ubisoft games. I'm tired of intro level tech-help from Ubisoft that will simply recite the FAQs back to you as if it were the word of God. I'm tired of little or no quality testing before a major software company releases a game with their name on it. I'm tired of lazy Ubisoft that apparently takes their fan base for granted. I'm tired of expansions that kept bugs in from the previous release. This whole game screams laziness and shortcuts to maximize profitability. I'm tired, tired, tired. Fool me once shame on Ubisoft. Fool me twice shame on me. Never again.

Ground Branch looks good so far!
I am looking forward to it's release!

Has anyone done any research on Rogue Warrior?
It is set to release on 11/10/2008

    Rogue Warrior

    2 year old preview

Release Date .. If it does'nt change

Rogue Warrior is said to be a tactical shooter that is story driven with very large maps.
4 player co-op where the player can join or leave at any time.
24 player mulitplayer where each team can select a map (Tile) for their style of game play, and then the server auto selects a map for the center.
Tons of map combos to play differently each time!

I can't find anything recent so I was wondering if anyone else has.

With Ubisoft's crippled games and total lack of support .. I am ready for a change!!

Bring on Ground Branch and Rogue Warrior and let the Ubisoft employees sit here looking at a dead game and dead forums, and still can't figure out where they went wrong!!!
