a lot of the features in the guns in Vegas are arbitrary and/or fictional, as none of them are actually based on their real world counterparts. the devs used a bit of "guesswork" and "balancing" to create the guns.
some of the guns are merely reskins of each other as well. |

+ 1 Yep, we are not worthy, perhaps Uncapables (in UBI's Eyes) of Non-Balanced weapons and Non Auto-Aim in our games ---------------- 0 ----------------- 0------------- What does it take to get a simeple answer from UBI about the PC? GRAW I & II, Vegas 1 & 2 were throwned to the Lion's den and now FC2 is going to suffer the same fate? How Proud are you UBI? |

Haters can say what they want about COD4 but at least Guns sounded the way they should have. And in truth, there seemed to be less balancing too.

The weapons in COD4 are balanced as well and probably more so than Vegas, but the devs of COD4 did a better job at balancing but still kept the weapons unique at the same time. Much like the first 3 R6 games, but this has failed in the last 3. Though COD4 is well above Vegas in terms of quality so it really isn't fair to UBI in comparing the two.

If COD4 weapons are balanced then that does make sense especially about Assault Rifles now that you mention it. You're right you shouldn't compare the 2 as they are supposed to be 2 different types of shooters, i was only comparing the weapon balancing. |

Seriously, i find R6V2 did an okay job on the Sniper Rifles although im still not sure those Rifles actually sound like that. Even then I/W still did a bit of a better job there too. |

they sounded great and also looked great with all the correct rail mounts for the scopes, instead of the scopes being "super glued" onto the tops of the receivers like they are in this game. but in COD4 if you play it on the normal servers the artificial balancing is still pretty heavy IMO. once you play it in hardcore, thats when each gun starts to feel more realistic than they originally appear in the normal game. |

Yea, The guns did look very good i agree. The balancing was very heavy on Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles was a bit better i think but probably not great. Its too bad to hear that, i didn't play Hardcore nearly enough... |

I wish it was more tactical then I would have some great shooter to play. I wonder why they decided to make a modern arcade military shooter. In my opinion every military shooter should be realistic leave the rest to b run n gun.
