Does anybody else have a problem with the new maps not always being available in the game on 360? The only way the maps appear is if I delete them from my hard drive and then re-download them EVERY TIME I PLAY.

This is a cache related issue which affects a few titles on the Xbox360, I've seen posts saying that if you clear the memory cache it resolves the problem although I've personally not used this and Microsoft prefer people not to do it without their instruction so its a do it at your own discretion, I don’t recall how it’s done but no doubt a google would fine it

Don't bother...they didn't bother to test the patch so it only holds its setting for one round on the server and then changes modes.

They also won't tell us if they are going to fix the useless patch even after they talked it up like it was the biggest event of the year.

Actually, they should remove respawns completely from the game and not add more. There are plenty of Halo type respawn games out there. The Rainbow Six series was intended to be a strategic first person shooter where people don't magically heal or come back to life when they screw up.

If they treated it as Team Survival then attackers could just waltz in and complete the objective and that team would win. If the objectives are balanced then they should be won half the time by the attackers and half by the defenders. That is what happend in Vegas 1 without respawns other than on some maps where people could exploit that lame 3rd person cover view in order to guard an objective without being seen.

You may think the defenders have an advantage because they can sit and wait for the attackers, but the attackers also know the choke points that will most likely be defended and can smoke/frag their way through. Only someone that can only do run n gun can't figure out a way through a defense without relying on respawning to keep charging through until they get lucky.

Have you ever played Counterstrike? It's completely balanced objectives without respawns and has one of the largest followings of any game.

I'm just disgusted they took away unlimited respawns from Attack and Defend ... I actually PURCHASED Vegas 2 thinking they would have kept their HANDS down most popular map/mode intact in Calypso Casino/unlimited respawns/let the damn host decide mentality .. nope .. I thought for sure they would get rid of the stupid 3 respawn rule for Attack and Defend since NOBODY plays that mode anymore like they did in the original Vegas ... Ubisoft... we need more ACES levels. I was a Level 100 on everything when the update first came out, and that only got me to a Level 23 Elite. How are we supposed to get to Level 99 10 XP points at a time? I'm well over 30,000 in all three ACES categories, so considering the Level 100s topped out at 21,400, I think a lot of ACES Levels need to be added, and more XP bonuses as well.

everything that i loved about vegas has gone to sh** the new maps suck and whats the point of becoming a level 99 elite you dont get anything for it same with the aces pointless....... everyone has played these maps changing them from day to night does'nt change the fact that we have played them. and what is with all the new updates it seems like every time i turn on my 360 there is a new update and all it is doing is makeing things worse on the game i guess im just going to get rid of it not worth playing anymore.

My vote goes to ms-kleaneasy because levelUp doesn't seem to come here anymore.

This ''silent and stealthy'' sticky attribute removal is another hint that ''someone'' may want both the game and this forum to die quietly.

Support to this game is probably terminated for good, but most probably, you'll never hear them say it officially.

My feeling is that the whole R6 forum is becoming an embarrassment for Ubisoft. It has become an hostile territory that has nothing to do with the Fragdolls forum and they want to avoid it like the pest. They can just blame themselves for that.

The Far Cry forum is difficult to ''infiltrate'' as of now. I wonder if I should go say hello to LevelUp on the Fragdolls forum?... Just kidding of course...

The SADS fix would have been very simple, but still no word!

I would like to see Ubisoft prove me wrong on a fix .. But I don't think it is going to happen!!

I have PM's to managers and above dating back to July 6, 7, 8, where I asked who I could contact concerning SADS if they couldn't make the contact, and no response to any of those PM's.

I have saved each of those PM's just in case they disappeared!!

The Farcry2 forums are run like a prison. Only Cuztardz may start new posts and all other must be placed in his "Official XXXX Discussion Threads". He deleted one of my posts and that is the first time I have had a post deleted in the years I have been on these forums.

Those poor suckers are in for a horrible game with poor support just like UBI Montreal did to us and their "forum moderators" are squashing any negative talk or warnings regarding that.
