It seems as if 98% of the public in the forums is very displeased with RSV2. I honestly don't understand why. I mean yes, there are a lot of bugs and TDM respawns are horrible, but in the end the game is still enjoyable.
i don't play TDM online anymore, that is my solution to the problem. But Total Conquest and Team Leader are still enjoyable game types. i still love playing RSV2 and i dont think it is a bad as everyone makes sit out to be. You are free to disagree. One last thing, i would really like to see more topics about in game situations and questions instead of butchering UBI. Im sure a lot of people have questions but don't ask simply because the forum is crowded with hate posts. |

And as such you are entitled to your opinon and I, for one, I'm happy that you are finding the game enjoyable despite the bugs/glitches but just imagine if you will, how much more the fun/enjoynment and inmersion of the game would be if there weren't any or only minor ones?
As per your other perception about people not posting because of the hate posts, have you ever consider the why many posts are negative? could it be because they can't even play the game? perhpas they only enjoy online play and they can't connect? etc, etc, etc. I am on other game forums where all we talk about it how to get to a point better than before or having fun doing it this other way and yes, they are a few negative posts and we help when we can but those games have no major flaws because they were made and optimized for a specific platform. ---------------- 0 ----------------- 0------------- What does it take to get a simeple answer from UBI about the PC? If you guys think the Vegas 2 forums are crowded with hate & Negative posts from the PS3 and the few 360 folks, wait until the PC game is launched... |

Why? Did you get your copy of RSV2 for FREE while everyone else paid 59.99 USD plus tax, meaning you don't have much to complain about?
That's a far too optimistic way of putting it. People bought RSV2 thinking TDM would have the same elements as RSV1, then all of a sudden a new patch comes several weeks later radically changing the gameplay.
Let them do so. They paid for the game. |

It's not even V2 that many people have a real problem with, it's Ubi's nonchalant way of dealing with issues... or more often not dealing with them. They had a template to work off (V1) they had ample opportunity and direction to fix real technical issues with it, and instead only fixed the (in my opinion) non-important and easy problems (getting rid of Black in custom camo.. are you SERIOUS?)
Now, I mostly play T-hunt with my buddy, and was very excited to hear that Ubi actually acknowledged there was a spawn problem in V1 and vowed to fix it. Imagine my dismay when booting up for the first time and seeing 4 guys beam in right in front of me, then get shot in the back by someone who wasn't there a split second ago. So no, simply "Not playing T-hunt" is not a viable way of dealing with this problem; but letting Ubi know how unsatisfied I am with the game they promised to fix every chance I get is. |

The reason there are so many negative posts is because Ubisoft hasn't even fixed the major issues in Vegas 2, and worse .. they won't even respond to the concerns of paying customers.
If Ubisoft actually acknowledged they were aware of all the issues, (many carried over from Vegas 1 and many new ones) and then actually released a patch that corrected all of the problems and made the game playable for everyone who spent their hard earned money on this game, there would be few players here complaining because they would be too busy playing Vegas 2 and actually enjoying their gaming experience!!!! WOW!! Wouldn't that be a nice change for a recent Ubisoft game???? |

If you see a thread that gets off-topic, report those posts. Believe it or not, it works. If enough of us who are tired of the drama report the off topic posts, eventually the mods will start moderating that content themselves. As it is, the mods aren't policing that content and every thread is "anything goes". You can use this bullet point from the official terms of service. And yes, off topic posts are disruptive.... I expect the mods would get tired of receiving notifications about these "disruptive" posts and get a little more pro-active about keeping threads on-topic.
From the Terms of Service: "Ubi reserves the right to expel Members and users and prevent their further access to the Sites for violating this Agreement or violating the law. Ubi also reserves the right to remove Communications which are abusive, illegal, disrespectful, or disruptive." ******************************* What happens in Vegas; stays in Vegas. QUOTE] If this were actually the case, don't you think there would be more complaints than there are? If there are 300 people here complaining, say that's 100 per platform, considering there were millions of copies sold, maybe the <1% who are complaining are the minority. Maybe the other millions of people who bought the game are actually playing and enjoying it. Just makes sense to me.... ******************************* What happens in Vegas; stays in Vegas. It only makes sense if you don't consider that in reality over 85% of game owners do not post in the manufacturers forums. So he's probably about right, and there are a lot more dis-satisfied then you see here.

Most gamers don't even know this forum exists!
I know over 30 PC gamers besides myself and only one that will take the time to post problems here. Most of those 30 plus gamers have just moved on to other games rather than wait for Ubisoft to fix Vegas 2!!! They actually all got fed up with the many problems in Vegas 1, and the Ubosoft servers crashing in the middle of games. Only one has purchased Vegas 2 and I am advising everyone to wait and see if Ubisoft fixes the issues before they spend their hard earned money. That really is sad because Vegas 2 could be a very fun game if Ubisoft would just listen to it's customer base, and correct the issues!! |

The opinion of the forums are not the opinion of the actual community.
Why? Because 99% of the time, the only people who visit the forums are people who have experienced problems with the game/don't like it and want to get some closure. So basically, you're not getting the proper ratio of satisfied vs unsatisfied players. |

and the one before it. If I spent $60 on a game and it didn't work, I can say w/ 100% certainty, you would find me here complaining. I'm sure the combined count of people who downloaded the Comcast Map (you need a UBI logon for that) and the people who purchased the game from this web still far outnumber the people who are complaining. Those above mentiond people are guaranteed to have knowledge of this forum. Have you looked on your package from the game, or at the book that came with the game. Notice any mention of "rainbowsixgame.com"? I'm pretty sure that's another road to this forum. There is more evidence that people are happy w/ this game, than evidence that people are not happy. ******************************* What happens in Vegas; stays in Vegas. Honestly the only thing i really notice is how the guns kick way to much now, the bugs i hardly ever notice nor do i mind after spending a year playing gears of war....thats something to complain about.

I think YOUR Subject line says enough - don't you?

Tecnically, you're right; however, I've been on many forums for many games, and I've NEVER seen so many people bash a company and it's game like this. And it's clear why: Most companies support a game after release, so even though every game has it's problems and every game has it's share of disgruntled customers, this one takes the cake for avoiding any and all feedback from the community. |

im guessing actually alot less than 98% of R6V2 players hate the game. The ppl who love the game stya on R6V2 for hours on end while the ppl who didnt like the game come here to rant about how ''UBI SUCKS!'' ''Rainbow six is ruined!'' ''Why the hell did they do this??!!!'' ''GOD DAMMIT BUGGS!!!'' and so on...
if you haters want to rant about Ubi make sum ''for Rainbow six vegas 2 haters'' post topic and let us real R6V2 players get ubi to listen to what we offer in suggestions... the reason ubi dont reply is probably cuz every suggestion they get is like ''OOOOH so many God damn bugs! Ubi ytou suck! im gnna give ths damn game back if you dont fix[problem]'' quit trash talking and go play sumthing else or atleast give good suggestions in a polite sentence or sumthing -ferret5550 |

I like the single player of both Vegas 1 & 2. However, as a former Raven Shield clan longtime player.... I HATE the online Vegas 1 & 2.
UBI totally ruined it for the pc clan market. MGC-=Scorpion=- |

Acctyally most of the customers that have problems don´t complain, they just leave for another competitor. One of the biggest asset a company has are the ones that are complaining and those are the ones that the company should take care of. |

I'd love to see the source of this statistic. ... Or are you really just making this number up? Now, I'm not saying that the ratio of positive to negative opinions on this forum are reflective of the community at large. I'm just saying that I find this justification for the argument a bit specious. Red Sox Nation |
