Well I got out of playing Vegas 2 as of late, still playing it on occasion. I dont care much for the versus modes(battling neon pink commandos in hockey masks just isnt my thing), and T-hunt has started getting a bit dull when I can in advance guess where the terrorists are going to spawn. So I got to thinking about how awesome it would be if they could throw in some other types of co-op modes.

Like in Rainbow Six the book, the scenarios were more than just a "breech, kill, smoke a cigarette" They had planning they did, set up observation and gathered intel, thoroughly planned everything. Why not co-op modes that incorporate these features?

Maybe break it down into phases, first phase is gathering intel. Have places for sniper teams to post up and provide observation. Maybe make it so someone can sneak around and with the proper tools cut a building's power or stuff like that.

Give people roles, and make it more team oriented, instead of this 4 man commando team crap that T-hunt is now. There can still be the stuff where you breech in and put a few rounds in a tango's face. But just have a few other features for people that want it in a tactical shooter.

That could make for tactical gameplay I think, especially if incorporated with stuff like Anti-Personnel and others have suggested about adding realism to the game. Im just a little tired of the terrorist hunts, and the single player campaign is even worse.

This is just tossing out ideas I guess. I can safely assume that I wont see this kind of feature in any type of game that has "Tom Clancy" in the title. So for now I guess its kind of a delusion of grandeur.

I think you mean "I can safely assume the I won't see this kind of feature in any type of game that has UBI ("the Company") at the helm...."

That would be a more accurate statement.....hehe

Welcome to the club of the disenfranchised. We have been saying for years, since LD, that these missions require more effort put into them, and require teamwork and planning to successfully engross the thinking man. There could be a couple of smaller objectives within a mission, like cut the power, or communications, silently removing roving patrols, and gather intel on tango positions within the target area. I imagine a scenario where all the doors are wired with explosives, so alternate ingresses would need to be made, so breaching a wall or through a window would be required, but if the intel was not done properly, you run the risk of injuring hostages with debris.

But alas, with Vegas and its spawning tangos and poorly conceived scripting, you could go around with a bazooka, blow every light fixture, shoot down every phone line/ cell tower nearby or activate a cell jammer, the terrorists inside the room with the hostages will remain blissfully unaware until you trigger them into action, by looking under the door.

UBI needs to realize that terrorists are a nervous breed, unless on familiar ground, and they know that gathering in large numbers will attract unwanted attention. That is why in every hostage situation/terrorist attack world wide there are only a few involved, the greatest impact with the least amount of possible casualties. Imagine if Vegas was a real situation, an entire terror organization wiped out after a single operation. I can't imagine too many tangos signing up for a group whose cause has a life expectancy shorter than a long weekend.

The devs took the saying "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!", to heart. That's why they refuse to remove any of the bugs or glitches!

Totally agree with the first post, I mean they had it almost right in a sense with some of the missions in Vegas two. France and the Mall they even say if we go silently **** won't go down but yet I can still run around with a 249 or AK47 firing off into the air yelling YIPPIE KI YAY! and Op for is like dum dum dum I can kinda see the mall I mean I would steal Ipods and jam with them but um yeah. But in all reality would you be able to, proably not I mean even John Mclane had to be sneaky in Die hard

Sooo very true. Also interesting to note is the complete lack of a current tactic used by Terrorists from ALL races and religions; The Sleeper Cells. Did Ubi know about all this and was just to lazy to work it out or are they just that uneducated in what goes on in the world.

    JOO H4V3 B33|\| B4|\|\|3D!!!!!!! Wink

@GSG_9_Rage: I'm actually not sure if Eddie did all the breaching. Wink In fact, most of the time, he was just the point man. Paddy Connoly breached at the Bank in Switzerland and at the WorldPark incident on the windows as they rappelled. (No breaching at Schloss).

I think Eddie throws in flash bang grenades, at the very most.

Anyway, didn't want to sound like a stickler, but I guess I came off as one.

You guys have all forgotten that Ubi has based the game of TV (History Channel not included) and movies. Actually I recall the whole Vegas concept kind of being done in an 80's action movie. Good old Invasion USA starring Chuck Norris.

It makes sence seeing in that website, that movie got a rating of 4.5/10, and vegas 2 is as bad as that too.

But Ubisoft has all the game-review websites in their pockets. So whatever ratings their games actually deserve are 250% inflated or more. Vegas 2 got 9.2/10 from one gaming website. That's pathetic. They should've gotten at the most 4.3 . Me personally? 2.0
