Yesm H5 original. The Tears of Asha is clear on the map between a fern and the front of a tree stump with the exit Monolith to the right & Spell book stand to the left however, the dig icon does not light up here. It did light up in front of the Dunmoor and in front of a military tower where you can hire creatures but will not light up where the map says it is. What in the world am I doing wrong now?????

Hmm, maybe stand on the spot and end turn. You need a whole day to dig. It also has to be empty ground.

Thanks but that did not work either. Really frustrating especially after reading about all of the bugs in this game. I've already downloaded 1.4 patch.

Just please verify, the "dig" icon is supposed to light up when I get to the Tears. (it is not lighting up at all)

No, it's not. Once you find out where it is by visiting the obelisks and see it's location on the puzzle map, you then go to that location on the adventure map and have your hero stand on that location. At the beginning of your next turn, select the "dig" option (or hit "g" on your keyboard). You can only dig when you have your full allotment of movement ie: the beginning of your turn. The "dig" icon will show up whenever you select "g" and then hover the icon over any clear area of ground. You can dig just about anywhere, but you'll only dig up the tear of asha at the location marked on the revealed puzzle map. Hopefully that's a bit clearer.

Just so you know, the game gets even better as you move forward through the expansions. By the time you get to the second expansion (tribes of the east) they've got that game working flawlessly. Of course it would've been nice if that was the case right at the outset...oh well. Anyway, good luck.

The game is hardly flawless in TotE. To be flawless then they would have fixed the multiplayer AI issues/lockups by now, which they haven't

Well, I haven't encountered any MP issues since Hammers. If you're encountering something specific you should probably report it in the bug forum. Despite what many here say...they DO check that forum and they DO test bug reports.

This happens when you have 2 or more human players + X number of AI. Apparently there's an issue with updating the state between the players, because as soon as everyone leaves the game and the host remains, then the AI starts moving again.

But its nonetheless still a flaw, so not completely flawless, though I will support you in that the actual game has improved a lot through the 2 expansions and subsequent patch.

Back again.....I am still in Mission V, Fall of the King. Godric has crossed the bridge, gone thru the Garrison and out of the picture to find Nicolai. The cut scene came on (really cool) but Isabelle is just "there" I have an army in Dunmoor and still have the open Objective to secure Dunmoore against attack....where do I go from here? According to the walkthrough, once Godric went off and the cut scene came on....it was supposed to be "mission completed" What have I missed?????????

Nothing. Just survive a few more days and Godric or somebody returns or something. It's been a while, I don't recall all the specifics. But the scenerio ends in a day or two after godric leaves IIRC.

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't find a record of it.

I'm running HMM5 for Mac, and I'm stuck on the Haven quest Fall of the King.

I've found all three oblisks, but the puzzle map looks incomplete. I think it's being rendered improperly. There are a couple of rough shapes, but they change every time I look at the map!

Anyone else have a fix, or a suggestion to get round this?

In the Windows version of HOMMV, additional obelisks would often be added to campaign scenarios in later patches. There may be more obelisks out there you need to find. Otherwise, try the walkthrough for this scenario on either Celestial Heavens or gamepressure.com; the Celestial Heavens walkthroughs in particular are often updated to keep current with changes made by the patches, and may include maps or descriptions of the most likely locations of the Tear of Asha.

Randomcat, I was wondering if you have found a solution to your problem, because I have the exact same problem as you described. The map is blue, the trees appear like black dots. The map is moving and it seems like it is showing where my knight is standing, not where the artifact is.

Is this a bug? I have looked everywhere on the internet to find a solution. I have only found a couple having the same problem and you are one of them. I have also tried to restart the computer, reload the game, find cheats to get the tears of asha, but all with no success. I can't go further in the game so please help!

And ofcourse I have found all three obelisks. The whole map is revealed but the map is not working.

And ofcourse, those walkthroughs are useless since they don't address any bugs or problems.

Can someone tell me which patch would fix this bug? I'm using a macbook pro with leopard. I have updated the game with heroesV1.5updater. Is there any newer patches for mac? I couldn't find a new patch. Only v1.6 for PC.
