hi all well i was wondering is there a mod or something to kind of tone down the ai or something?

i mean i keep getting the same probs i had as in heroes3.
you start some part of the campaign youre building up as usual and when you finally have 1 dragon or something the enemy comes at you with 10 dragons and a ****load of other troops that is just impossible to get without either having it from the beginning or the ai uses a cheat of some sort and its just at the easiest difficulty.

never had this prob with heroes 4 always equal fights or slightly outnumbered but not as insane like this where you never stood a chance unless you were running around with 10 leprechauns or something ^^

Have you not patched the game?
An easy mode was added in a patch.

1) Have you played many "standard" maps? It may be useful to become more familiar with the faction of the campaign you are trying to play so you move faster and more efficient.

2) Computer get more bonus to resource as you go higher on difficulty slider.

well it was on the demon campaign where you start off with a castle but you can only build up to nightmares i think and you have to fight those elven forces but first you gotta get through a garrison which can damage you quite and then you can cap an elven town but by the time you get 1 green dragon the comp has 10 or so ...
gonna dl those patches now hope they make it abit easier to play ^^

btw anyone know of a remake of zanfas' challenge for heroes5?
it was a very fun heroes 4 map and hope to find it for 5 aswell
