My first game didn't get very far before I decided to remove the profile and start again. I created a new profile and deleted the first one. However, Isabella seems to have all the bits and pieces that the first profile accumulated in the new game. How do I start a new profile and a new game completely from scratch.

It is possible that the profile sub-folder was not effectively deleted and still lingers.

If you have Windows XP, go to :

C:\Documents and Settings\< your Windows user name >\My Documents\My Games\< name of your Heroes 5 game >.

Inside that folder, look for a sub-folder with the NAME of the profile you wished to delete.

Delete that specific sub-folder (nothing else!), or, if you want to be prudent, cut/paste it into a temp folder, somewhere else.

Please come back here and tell us if it worked.

I had done that already but it didn't work. I tried again just now and (as before) when I started I had to create a new profile but once again Isabella still has all the stuff (artifacts, army etc) which she accumulated on my very first run - although she is starting at the first level. This is a different profile name from the first run so I guess that there is a separate file for Isabella somewhere which is cumulative. Thanks for the quick reply and I would be grateful for any suggestions.
