It's pretty sad and sort of disrespectful to see manga and anime getting shoved into the series. Not that I actually have anything against the styles, but Might and Magic has always, always been a western brand, never a JRPG.

Of all the RPG franchises out there, MM is among the least suitable for this art style. There's not much effort going into creating consistency with tradition or graphics.

It's probably a marketing decision, as there seems to be an ocean of Japaneophiles and Manga-freaks in Europe...

Changing the name from a marketing perspective I can understand, but not really the manga fixation. Short time it might give them something extra, but what when manga no longer is cool? It'll be much harder to get rid of a manga image than acquire it.

Can someone with the "knowhow" create some kind of "design" poll?

I'm not exactly sure what the different choices should be, but something like: Anime vs. "Heroes III" maybe?

Just want to give Xhane & Ubisoft a clear picture of what style the fans want & expect.

HoMM II is cartoonish and brilliant. HoMM V does have some inspiration from anime, but not really much and might just as well be because other art styles have some similarities. Clash of Heroes is anime on the other hand.

There is no major difference, really. Anime is the color cartoon adaptation of the black and white manga comics, so the art style is basically the same.

Well, to say the truth it does represent an apparent major shift in Ubisoft's attitude to PR and connecting to the community, so in some ways I'm happier about that than a HoMM VI announcement since we already know that one is on its way.

Of course the Facebook page is great.
But I was expecting something bigger than that
