Hello,

After playing heroes 3 in the past i decided it was time for heroes 5 tribes of east. I really like it and the gamespot review was wrong, the game is not to difficult....

I have played a few missions but i just do not find the way how to divide the creatures in my army.

For ex. instead of 1 x 900 archers, 2 times 450, or how to give only half of my archers to another hero, or when i use my dark magic points to collect some after battle, how to only pick a few of the creatures if i do not have enough points instead of not taking any at all....

Dividing is still possible in HOMM 5? And how do i do it?

I guess it is easy but i just can not find the solution myself.

Any help would be much appreciated.

ps: i used to play HOMM 3 a lot so i did try extensively before asking the question ;-)however i am not good with the search button on forums, apologies for that.


ps2: i usually only have 500 dark magic points or so, any way to boost it much higher? certain magic upgrade? sometimes i need 3000 to take the creatures in my army...

Hold down the "Shift" key, drag the stack you want to split and release your mouse button when the stack is over an empty slot. You will then have a menue come up that lets you divide the stack how you like.

I recommend you download the fan made manual as it is much better than the manual that Ubisoft produced.

Page 284 tells about dark energy and how to have more of it.

Dark Energy Pool = 200 + Hero_Bonus + Building_Bonus

where:
» Hero_Bonus: each hero contributes to the pool according to his level. His Mastery of the Necromancy skill then
basically serves as a multiplicator (see the table below)

» Building_Bonus: each Pillar of Bones in your kingdom contributes 150 Dark Energy points, as does the Tomb of
the Lost (Grail structure).
