How many expansion paks are now available for HOMMV?

I'm thinking of getting the game, but want to get all the expansions, too.

There's the basic HOMM V, expansion 1 is called Hammers of Fate and expansion 2 is called Tribes of The East. That's all and there will be no more. ToTE is a stand alone game so you can get just that and still be up to date. Getting all 3 adds more maps and campaigns of course.

The recent (October 2007) "Tribes of the East" expansion (version 3.00) is a great deal :

1) it is inexpensive ;
2) it does not require the DVD to play once you have installed it (the security check has been disabled) ;
3) it is a "stand-alone" product that contains everything the 2 previous editions (1.00 & 2.00) had -- except their respective campaigns ;
4) it is already all patched-up to version 3.00, so it includes a lot of updated stuff, contains less bugs, and should be more compatible with Windows (XP & Vista) and various (non-laptop!) videocards (than the original 1.00 release).

But...if you absolutely want to play through the basic H5 campaign and the 1st expansion's campaign, you will have to buy those 2 games -- which are perhaps available where you live under the HM&M 5 "Gold" and/or "Complete" label(s).

I purchased all 3 games, but I now only use the stand-alone TotE expansion. I download custom maps made by fans, and this gives me a lot of replay value (beyond the campaigns).
