The game tells me that I have to sacrifice 4 heroes at the altars next to each city but the 2 main heroes must survive. I only have 2 heroes that are not the main ones and the towns won't let me buy any more. There is no Tavern and the only prison is behind the portal that needs to be unlocked!

If that's not enough, it won't even let sacrifice any hero. I walk one of the heroes onto the pentagram in the middle of the 4 column altar and Arathnir (sp?) steps up and nothing happens. I clicked all over the altar and NOTHING.

I'm very upset after 8+ hours on this level building up both main heroes really strong to have to start over again.

Any suggestions anyone?

Refreshing. I have the same problem. After I choose not to help the ghost, but destroy the portal instead I found myself in a stituation where I could recruit only 3 hero and there is one more missing to prepare the ritual. I can't do pretty much anything right now, towns won't let me buy hero anymore and I can't sacrife any of my main otherwise I will loose. I noticed that there is prison, but it is behind the portal so I have concluded that I should have helped the ghost to unlock the patch (?). Anyway game doesn't say that I did anything wrong after I used assasins to detroy deamon's portal so I continued playing for few hours more beeing sure I still can complete the game. Is that a bug or there exist some way to complete it anyway ?
