Quick solution:
Wait near castle.
If that doesn't work restart mission. I completed it in 5 weeks on heroic. o_O .I just went out and capture all the things i could inside my territory.

That's the solution find a mysterious button or standby your castle and if all else fails restart............fckin great I just love it.

Well i've learned a thing in my heroes experience with the campaign. Don't do un-natural things. Don't re-supply the garnisons, don't do objectives before they apear. This will cause bugs, bugs cause problems.
Oh and about the magnifing glass.. i was refering to the one on this forum. There are so much threads about this specific issue you wouldn' t imagine SO use search plz. Don't create new topics for things that have been already answered.

in this mission,if you are still stuck,the trigger is the appearance of a RED army,which you need to defeat.i believe what causes the red army to appear is the defeat of one or two of the teal army heroes.if you have retaken the garrisons,did you fight the blue hero stationed inside your zone?and did you kill him completely, or did he flee at the end?this was what worked for me so go back and try those out....howpow

You know I checked all 107 pages looking for clues on this campaign and found absolutely nothing. I guess it would help if the subjects gave a little more info. BTW I'm not usually one to start threads on topics If can find the answers in other posts. I do look. Txs for the info......

I see that I am not the only one with this mission problem... I am in month five. Practically every original neutral source is gone, however I reed in the forum I have to defeat one of the Teal heros... First time they stomped my garrison they had an army that there is no way I can beat... 800+ Dead archers... 500+ Crosbowmen, 30+ Cavaliers, 40+ Griffons, 30+ Preist 120+ squires...
Or should I do teh waiting game by my garrison???

was able to defeat a teal army in the second month. but nothing else happens...

does the main hero have to be in the garrison when this happens to trigger the darn red army...

No not in my experience. He should attack sometime around week2 of month 2. This is not a difficult mission so I'd suggest you just start over. The 1st time I tried this I was losing a battle and was offered the opportunity to flee or surrender I opted to surrender and continued to be able to play on, the Red Hero never did show up.....lol

The problem I'm having is that the red army won't show up. I'm on month 6 now. The first time I played I made it to month 11 with the same problem. That time I had re-fortified my garrisons after they had been taken, then I read on here that that's a bad thing. So I started the campaign over and made sure I did NOT re-fortify my garrisons. I think all of them have been taken and reclaimed, and I made sure not to re-fortify them. I've killed everything on my side of the map, but have not gone up against the teal warriors yet. Do I need to hang around inside a garrison and hope one of them attacks me? They haven't approached my garrisons for weeks now. What do I need to do to get red to show up and finish this mission?

The first time I tried this Red showed up right after I got the map from the cartographer, which was too early in the scenario (I wanted to visit more attack camps, etc.), so I restarted. On my second try I avoided the cartographer, but I still barely got to visit the most interesting witches huts, defense towers, etc. before Red came again, so I just beat him and ended it.

The first several missions of the Elven campaign (not done yet) are the easiest of the bunch so far, with the obvious exception of the very first Isabelle missions that teach you how to play HOMM5. Good, because my Findan has enlightenment, which seems like largely a wasted skill for him.

I think I've read somewhere that The Vampire Lord will be really hard, though.

I was able to recapture garrisons with no problem. Are you getting cutscenes when you recapture the garrisons?

I forgot to go to the mage vault which means mission 2 is a real ****. I can't even remember how I beat it the first time through.

I have captured every single thing on the map. I've got the map (first time it was the last thing I did, this time I got it fairly early on). I reached the level cap a long time ago. I got the "capture the garrison" and "recapture the garrison" cutscenes.

The only possibility is that one of my characters tried to cross the border when I was trying to get them to go elsewhere (they chose the shortest route not blocked by an enemy, and I wasn't paying attention). I got the "If you take one more step you'll lose" message. Could this be the problem? It happened the first time as well. I'm way past the 2nd month, and that's the only thing I can think of that anyone has mentioned.

I should also mention that I don't have any patches. I bought my game on Ebay and it turned out to be a foreign copy. Judging by the writing on the box, I'm guessing something similar to Russian or Ukrainian, but I don't know enough about either to be able to say for sure, so I've never known what region patch to get. Could this be the issue?

Thanks. It just says "European". So is there just one patch for all the different European language versions? And do you think the patch will fix the problem? I haven't had any other problems that have needed a patch (and I thought I heard that it actually causes a problem with an impossible enemy army or something).

So you would need the EU patch.

I wouldn't worry too much about facing an impossible enemy. The campaigns aren't THAT hard.

Out of curiosity, does anyone want to compare Nicolai pre-patch 1.5 to post 1.5? I haven't got there in 1.5 yet.

The ranger campaign is pretty hard because its so boring... i haven't got past it yet. I always just end up playing a custom game instead.

But thats starting to annoy me because i keep ending up noticing more & more things the AI doesn't do, don't collect dwarven warrens ... and i managed to scare off them from entering my territory with only my secondary hero.

well this is an old topic but what the heck...

my problem is, the demon army appeared at the bottom of the screen, but isnt moving. ive killed 3 or 4 teal heroes, and have already followed all suggestions that ive found on like 6 different threads. anyone have a clue why the red army would just sit there at the bottom of the map?
