Do u think the TOTE failed with adding second alternative upgrade. For example Necropolis Skeleton archer is good when u fight against neutral melee monster, but then the Skeleton warrior is better with ranged fighter and in a castle defend. This is not good idea do u agree with me. Then With every non-stronghold creature is the fact that non-upgraded creature and the first upgrade was Pretty same looking then the second upgrade look like Epilepsy. It just annoying when the two upgrade are just good in completely different situation and some of them are completely useless. They made 56 extra creature which are useless, they could made 4 new faction...

Heroes of Might and Magic is a strategy game. That's the whole point of the differances between upgardes. You have to choose the one which suits you best and gives you the biggest advantage over the enemy.

And as for the visual part, yeah, some of the upgardes look really bad. They could have put some more work into it, possibly adding new models, not only textures.

I disagree that they made useless alternative upgrades. It is however true that there needed to be some more balancing done. I like having alternate upgrades better in different things. That allows you more flexibility in strategy.

If you want shooters go with skeleton archers. If you want another melee troop go with the skeleton warriors. Or you could have some of both.
