...oh, and btw, hi y'all (Oak, Chuck, Justice, Znork, Dergos, Inf, etc - you know...) Wink2

The game is now in WH's style. It'd be silly to for yet another overhaul. I just hope the company they have picked is more innovative and skilled than Nival.

This - none of this - shall go unpunished!

Like I said on my brand new M&M Fan Blog, this only means that we will have a new game in 2010 at the earliest Frown

(I hope this is not considered spam, not allowed advertising or something similar :cough: )

I've always been lurking. I still check this forum at least once a day every day. Unfortunately, there's usually little to say and little that's being said that hasn't been rehashed several dozen times over.

"The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose in the Mountains of Mist. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings or endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning."

Oh man, where do you find the energy for all that lurking? In my case, I think it must be about a year since the last time I passed by to have a (short) look around. Tongue

Okay, now THAT was funny. Dead wrong, but still funny.

Yeah, I thought so too. It was AS who posted it as a comment on the CH news bit, and I just HAD to re-post it here... Big Grin

Well, there's usually only one or two threads with any new posts in them. Quite easy actually. :O) Besides, I really only post on about 3 boards (2 heroes boards and one Cincinnati Reds board...US baseball for those interested)

And by the way...*waves to Zam* Hope things are going well for you bud.

Nope. I grew up near Columbus, but I've been in Houston Texas for about 25 years now. But I'll always bleed Red. :O)

Let clear it out-Dark Elves are they
from Salvatore ,something, or from Warhammer.
(Could not help but to notice the Dark Elves
mounts in WAR online - they look like precisely
twins to Dark Elves mounts in V,and those
bloodlusty females too)

Counting Chuckles words as a faith dogma, I guess it's quite interesting and funny for the communities to chitchat about which could be this Hungarian developer. If all of this would be true, I guess I'd have the perfect candidate, and it's not Blackhole... (which I guess we can discard because they're working for the Warhammer brand). Maybe I'll start posting some pics of their next game soon, which is currently close to its release (4 or 5 months at max., maybe even less) ;-D So stay tunned!

WH, obviously. I guess that is why I like them so much, whereas I found old Dungeon simply dull.

Let's say that the opinions may vary. I for one find it one of the most interesting towns in HoMM III, and in the series as a whole. Right after the Kreegans, of course. Big Grin

HoMM 3 Dungeon is supporting
MM7 For Blood and Honor.
It depicts Warlocks of Nignon and the units can eventualy be met in very close, almost intimate, personal contact in that game-Minotaurs,Beholders (Manticores was planned but not included )etc.
While HoMM V has it own continent and it is not
Erathia of HoMM III ,so dungeon is Dark Elven here. They both are good ,frankly, but serve to different purposes.
Eventually Dark Elves campaign was my fav

Eh, I could honestly live with the Dungeon being Dark Elves, but if I had to pick the lineup I'd go with H3.

To get back on topic...

Any news or rumors about the devs apart from the fact that they are Hungarian/not Blackhole?

Way back when I was definitely one that wanted Nival out of the picture as they just didn't seem to "get it." After TOTE was released though, I was willing to give them another chance so I'm not exactly sure how I feel about this news.

One thing I am curious about, and I know some of you must have this info (please share privately if you can't do so publicly), but how far along was Nival on HOMM 6? Were they making good progress or hadn't the project even been started yet?

From what I gathered, they had gotten into it quite a bit, but it all got scrapped and given a fresh start. When this happened, or even IF it really happened, I've got no clue. When it comes to this particular topic, it's rumors within rumors. Sorry.

As for Dark Elves, I'm all for seeing them in the game...but anybody who doesn't think that the Tower/Academy isn't the best town out there simply needs to have their head examined. :O)

And just for JJ..... "INFERNO SUCKS!!!" *grin*

Well, until we see an actual Ubisoft announcement, rumors are all we've got. And in the past, they haven't announced a game in development until it was pretty far into it's development, right? With a new Dev. coming into the picture...that announcement could easily be a year away now. I'm certainly not going to hold my breath. I'll just do what I always do....

*heads off to play another hotseat game of H3* :O) Some games NEVER get old.
