Do the two (or either) expansion packs add any content/value (new classes, modded stats/abilities, new mechanics, etc) to the original campaigns of HOMMV? Likewise, does TotE add anything to the HoF campaigns? Just wondering if there is any value to purchasing the expansions before beginning anew the original campaigns. Bought HOMMV long ago when it first came out, but giving it another go around now after all of the patches. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Nope. The patches deliver the stat-mods and adding the exp-content would probably tilt the balance of the campaigns.

Thanks. So adding the expansion packs may tilt the balance in favor of the player, or the computer? Are the expansions worth getting? I would assume that yes they are given some of the comments that I have read here.

They made sure that's not possible. You'll have to put in the original disc to play the original campaigns and HOF to play those.

I'd say that if you have a certain amount of fun with the original game and feel the urge for more, then TOE is a must-have. You can't really go wrong with that one.

I'm not exactly sure what having to put the original disc in the DVD drive has to do with any of this, but I agree with JJ: ToTE is the way to go.

It's not going to tilt the balance in your or the computer's favor, it just adds to the diversity and fun of the game. No adjustments to the AI, so it won't be harder or easier, just more stuff to look at and play with.

Phoss, he asks about the CAMPAIGNS.
And you can access the campaigns ONLY from the original discs (and games); as far as I know there is a mod out that chanes this, but still.
