Thats the thing though, you don't need to dumb it down anymore, PS2 had terrible power compaired to a PC, hence the crappy Heroes game for it.
but now adays a PS3 is much more powerfull then a PC (MUCH MORE) so there is no need to dumb it down, not only that but with Blu-Ray they can fit 50GB on a disk, they would need 100 cd's to do that on PC.
PC's arent evolving fast enough, and console ports may be the answer
There is nothing stopping people from getting blu-ray in there PC's but, how long did it take for everyone to get DVD drives?? oh wait most people still dont have them.
as for the revolution thing, THEY said it would only be 2-3 times as strong as GC which isnt strong enough for this game, and Rev will not have HDTV so you would be stuck with 780x420 or whatever res basic cable runs on. which would be simply terrible
this is pointless, they won't port onto console unless h5 sells like 1000000 copys. popular as this game is with players of strat games it won't sell enough.
I'd rather they not waste time and money that could go into the game on console ports.
And you know what? If a console port were successful, Heroes VI would be a console game with a PC port, and it would not be a good thing, not at all. And Heroes VII would feature Link and Mario. Etc.
If the system requirements aren't too high, I don't see the need. Most gamers have PCs. I like both consoles and PCs, but they're each better for different types of games.
All I really need to play any heroes game (on PC) is a mouse. You can do almost everything with a pointer and two buttons and the menu bars. So with the new advances in console graphics and the fact that you only need to be able to move a pointer around and click i think that porting the game wouldnt really take away from the content. Albit it would be a very slow console game and that really isnt what many people play a console for. But I could be fun to have a bunch of people playing HoMM V on the TV in the living room.
"Always remember to pillage before you burn." "One trouble with trouble is that it usually starts out as fun."

Yes but it would also means that Ubi will have to make many changes.. dunno how to explain it.. I just know that you can`t have everything but when you have everything there is a small chance you`ll end up with nothing.. make a console version.. ok.. but not Homm games
Max I can see it, is another Heroes for handhelds. Nintendo DS with dual screens and the pen could work pretty well. I don't think it's worth the effort imo, but I can see it working far better than the GBA versions.

I really dont getting people who saying things like this .... I think that more platoforms is better for any game, more platoforms = more people will enjoy the game, crying like this is really selfish
