I just got Heroes 5 and it's great. My only gripe is that it rushes me in the combat. I only get 10 seconds to make a decision before that counter gets down to zero and it makes me take a pass! For such a strategic game I need more time than that. Is there a mod that turns that timer off?

You can change it in the game options, of course.
But the player who creates a MP-game can choose the speed, thus if you join you couldn't change it (the info is always visible).

The option is called "Dynamic Combat".
