UBISOFT ANNOUNCES HEROES OF MIGHT & MAGIC V: TRIBES OF THE EAST

Final Chapter of the Heroes V Saga Takes a Bow for PC in Fall 2007

San Francisco, USA – April 5, 2007 - Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, announced today that Heroes of Might & Magic® V: Tribes of the East will arrive for the PC in Fall 2007. Developed by Nival Interactive, this stand-alone product will allow both long-time fans and series newcomers to enjoy the dramatic evolution and conclusion of the Heroes® V experience.

Use tactics, skills and magic to outsmart fantasy armies while developing your heroes and unveiling the dark plot that threatens to tear the world of Ashan apart.

Heroes of Might & Magic V: Tribes of the East chronicles the final chapter in the epic struggle that began with the interrupted wedding of Queen Isabel. Players will follow the steps of the Necrolord Arantir as he uncovers the prophecy of the Dark Messiah and exposes the Demon Sovereign's conspiracy.

Following this brilliant conclusion to the Heroes of Might & Magic V story, the world of Ashan will never be the same again...

I am thrilled with the changes but there is one problem. NO AI IMPROVEMENT?? It's one of the most vital parts of the game and one that makes people play it even less, why isn't it fixed?

Is it true that this is the last expansion planned for HoMM 5?

Well dramatic 'conclusion' says it all though they may change their minds. Or simply proceed with H6 now that there is still interest and people keep showering them with suggestions.

Most likely they'll just proceed with H6. I gather from how much difficulty they have had with patches that the H5 source must be very badly designed and rather than overhauling it it would be best for them to scrap it and build anew. But i cannot help but wonder how much money they are making off this game... as in will it be enought to make a decent h6 or not.

I hope that if Ubi/Nival take over HOMM VI, they will learn from their mistakes this time round. Otherwise, I am sincerely wishful that another designer takes over, given that they cannot handle it...

Well, well, well, what we possibly could possibly have known. The dev. team at Nival did consider my expansion title, after all. How nice. bow Big Grin

Anyway, that also mean that there will be way more patches coming onto this year. For H.o.F anyway. 6 to 8 months worth, at-least. Clap

Patches 1.5(original) and 2.2(H.o.F.) should be out by mid-May. Only for H.o.F. afterwards, with 2.3 by Late June-early July. Cool

Patch 2.4 by early August.

Patch 2.5 by early September.

Patch 2.6 by early October.

New expansion of Tribes of the East v.3.0 by end of October-early November. H.o.F patch 2.7 by the same time.

Patch 2.8 by late November.

Patch 2.9 by late December. Patch 3.1 for T.o.E. by early December. Shady

January 2008 = Closed Beta for HoMM6:? titled Demo. Winky

Patch 3.2 for T.o.E. by February 2008. Shady

Possible major modding taking place for furthering the growth of the many versions of HoMM5: H.o.F. as of start of February 2008. Eek

Open Beta starts for HoMM6:? titled Demo, in March 2008. Winky

A possible patching process could occur for the Open Beta within the testing period-April 2008.
Metal
And, just like HoMM5's late May release, official release of HoMM6:?'s latest title of this wonderful franchise of HoMM. bow

That's it for a logical and possibe working schedule for the next 13 months ahead of us all.
Only speculative, BTW. Everything can be so flexible and uncertain in its whole process as time go forward or, proceeds. Wink2

Hope I did not spoil the fun at trying to figure out when things go as it goes normally or, abnormally. Big Grin

Enjoy HoMM-whatever version pleases you the most! The timeline can be stretched or, can be shortened(compacted). Only progress through time can truly tell. Thumbs Up

I will update this unofficial schedule as time goes by. Just like I already do with older posts that just need to be.

Honestly, just stop moron! It must be nice living in this fantasy world of yours.

Please Captain Delusion, show us where you ever suggested that title. Plus, what do you have to be smoking to believe they will release patches on the schedule you say they will? You have it at every month. They have never given us a patch a month apart and they will be lucky if they even get a patch out every 3 months.

I will take great pleasure responding to this everytime you are proven to be wrong, yet again.

You know what, you're right. That was unnecessary and I apologize, but don't for a second think that his post was meant to be a joke. He honestly does believe everything he says and this post is no exception.

After a while it gets very, very annoying.
