when you take off from carrier it does not feel at all like your getting slung off the carrier at 200 mph like you should. it feels more like your just applying full burn and just slowly taking off..

There are no catapults on the Russian carriers. They use the Ski Jump technique.

Of course it does not feel that way, the Russian do NOT use a catapult system. The aircraft takeoff on their own power the the assist of a ski jump bow.

Its the same thing that we (UK) use on our carrier. (I think we only have the one lol).

It is basically a ramp on the front of the carrier that provides lift for the aicraft. No catapults needed, just VTOL or a lot of thrust

You don't. It is only the AI aircraft that can do this.

The only flyable carrier aircraft in LOMAC is the Su-33. It has no mechanism to connect to a catapult as it uses the ski jump on the Admiral K.

Su-33 can land on US carrier as well as the Admiral K as both use the hook and arrestor cable system for landing aircraft. If you really want to take off again, taxi to the rear of the US carrier, then take off from there, you should have a long enough take-off run. This is how it was done in WW2 before the steam catapult was invented (by the British incidentally Wink).

Imo, it still feels sluggish for even a non cat launch, feels like a bit of a coding afterthought as far as dynamics go, not that its an issue for me as i only really fly the frog
