I am running Vista with an amd athalon 64 x2daul core processer3600+ 1.90 ghz with 1534 mb of ram, and getforce 8600 gt nividia graphics card but every time I play Lock On the only sounds I have is just the radar alarms, and nothing else, and am at a total loss on how to fix this problem. I have installed new sound mods (archers)with no effect. Have uninstalled the game completely, reinstalled, and still the only sound that I have once I start a mission is only the radar alarms????
Well for the benifit of anyone else ever expeiencing the same problem with basicly the smae specs as I have I have full sound now. What I ended up doing is un-installing LOMAC then using a program called "End It All" which many of I have no doubt are very familiar with, disabled all the virus protection, and the built into Vista security measures, and then simply re-installed LOMAC......all the sounds back. What it seemed to be was that one of the security measures, and I'm not quite sure which it could have been but for some reason one of security measures had/has blocked some of the files from being installed,so to speak filtering out certain files, the only plausible explination I can think of?????????????????
