Wow this new patch did absolutly nothing to solve the one problem many people have had with this game, and thats the game not even loading past the splash screen, i applied the new patch, still cannot play the game as it will not load past the splash screen.

When are Ubisoft going to get off their asses and fix the REAL problems here not the tiny little rubbish multiplayer ones, there were not even any bug fixes (the splash screen non start up being one of them) so whats the point?

Not sure if you are PC or not, but I am talking PC here ...

It is kinda a rock and a hard place. If they sold millions of games, then they would say it is your hardware, it works for everyone else. When they don't sell enough, then they cut their losses and pull resources, so it is not going to be addressed either. It is not just UBI, but almost any game manufacturer.

FC2 does seem to have strange problems with different hardware/software configurations. It runs fine on some systems, and not at all on others, and of course all points in between. For example my main gaming system runs FC2 with minimal problems, while my other system(s) have various problems with hardware/software.

My latest problem, on an alternate system, is a long USB cable to my keyboard and mouse that FC2 does not seem to like. If I take one of the extension cables out it works fine. Since it works outside of FC2, then it must be some hardware timing code FC2 is using.

On my systems that don't get past the splash screen, it has always been old graphics driver problems. On two of my laptops I tried, the hardware is just not in spec to run the game. Can't blame UBI for that.

my system is more than adequate to play this game on maximum settings, and it has done on the odd occasion that the game actually did load past the splash screen so hardware isnt a problem.
