Will FarCry run on a Windows Vista system?

Update: I have loaded the demo and the only issue is the water seems a little off, but not bad. Any ideas for fixes or patches that might work would be appreciated. I am planing on buying the full game. For $10 I'll take a chance.

The game does work in Vista, but be prepared for some glitches since the OS was not out when the game was made so is technically not supported.
There are patches. See here: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/170106891/m/3541062673 You need the patch to get your video card to work properly and to play the game online if you choose. (The latest patch is 1.4 for online play but if you only play the single player campaign, then use 1.3) |

will the 1.3 patch fix bascotts problem with the water ^^^ and can this patch help with things to do with the map editor since i have a computer with vista? HI |

I have the 64-bit version of Vista. Will those patches help? I put the disc in to install it, and it wouldn't even start to install - said to run setup32.exe on 32 bit Windows or setup64.exe on 64 bit Windows.
