its not keeping the points i earned for ranked matches.

Stats not tracking.

Bug where when you are a passenger in a vehicle and press the heal button you slide through and out of the vehicle.

Disconnects after just one round every game.

-After each (ranked, haven't tried unrancked) multiplayer game i get thrown out of the lobby and back into the multiplayer menu. When i host a ranked game after each game everybody else gets thrown out of my lobby.

-SP had microlags of frameratedrops in tutorialmission cutscenes (only did tutorial so far).

-Made a map but during the upload of it my PS3 froze.

-impossible to run and turn (if you are going for realism IRL i can do that)

For the rest great graphics and i look forward to playing more of it.

Game freezing every 5 to 10 seconds, even on the first few loading screens. Both singleplayer and multiplayer affected. Tried all resolutions inc. 576, 720 and 1080i.

Game is frustratingly unplayable at the moment.

This is on the PS3. Can anyone help please?

Ok. After reading other posts, I have tried unplugging my internet connection from the ps3. Things are now much better. No pausing like before. Multiplyer is obvioulsy not working now, but I'm half way there.

After every online ranked match (possibly even player match) we get disconnected from the host (instead of starting next map), back to the online menu. We are also unable to invite friends to ranked games... If these were intended that needs to be changed.

Console-specific bugs/issues:


1:

Deadzone area in the analog joysticks (and also triggers) setting is too high. Call of Duty 4 was an example of a console FPS with a PERFECT amount of deadzone, as it was very little amount of deadzone, and responded very precisely to the slightest nuances and movements of your thumbs. This allowed for precise and accurate aiming, which is what accounts for why everyone calls COD4 one of the "smoothest-playing shooters/FPS in the industry." The reason: very little joystick-deadzone area/setting, which allows for the most precise and smooth/responsive aiming possible.

COD4 definitely does this right, and Ubisoft needs to (very easily) emulate this in all of their games. It's an easy, easy fix, that would be EXTREMELY easy to implement.


2:

FOV of the Widescreen mode needs to be expanded in the console versions. PC version will be receiving an official fix for this, and hopefully the consoles will too. Right now, the FOV feels too constricted/narrow, and the player can't see much in their peripheral vision. Call of Duty 4 had the PERFECT FOV setting, and Far Cry 2 should use the same setting as COD4 (once again).

3:

Ubisoft needs to fix the PS3 version's random, occasional sound cutting out when firing a weapon. It's really annoying, and ruins the immersion/experience.

My game is freezing constantly. Sometimes only for 1/2 secs but others for 20/330 secs. This is in the story mode on ps3!!

I can't upload maps either. The progress bar does not move at all, then after wating a half hour or so I'll press Circle to cancle and it freezes. This happened to be three times last night at about 3 am EST. I thought maybe the servers were being flooded. I woke this morning at 10:30 EST and the same thing. Still can't upload my map. Help!

Freezing every few seconds when connected to the internet. All other online titles work perfectly, Wipeout, Warhawk, R2 Beta so it's definately an issue with the games network implementation.

Shakes head.

On the PS3, I play Far Cry 2 on an SDTV and the crosshair (When it looks like this +) flickers like on the left and right part. Also, you cant see the top part of the crosshair.

this is a big one...[I get disconnected after every ranked match I play]...ooh and the death animations can be completely OFF sometimes (in multiplayer, spins from frontwards to backwards instantaneously on some kills. sometimes in multiplayer when I am spawned... I dont have a weapon until a few seconds in so i am left running around unarmed waiting for my gun to appear... there also is this horrible lag in multiplayer where it takes some players a 2x as many bullets at CLOSE range as others to go down... or maybe they went down but it didn't register to me (the one doing the kill). nope, just happened again... the guy was just running away taking shots like nothing was happening.oh wait I was halfway into reloading my weapon and I suddenly got the kill for the guy i was targeting. uhmmm the aiming seems a little off... like maybe its delayed or stiff, i cant call exactly what it is. other than that this IS a solid game! any these are all multiplayer issues. Single player is AWEEEEESOMMME! I sometimes just chill an look at the views of the scenery because it's so beautifully done! Thanks! well worth my $80 ( I had to overdraft my bank to get it on release day and they charge 20 for THAT)

story mode and online mode:

One big problem I have is that when you run, you can't control much of the direction you can go while running. And when you're running, it gets blurry and it actually makes me DIZZY just playing the game. And then while I'm running for about 3 seconds, it goes into this dim blur and the screen blurs for a sec and dims.

Another problem is the control of looking around, it's not as accurate. I know I'm being a little whiner here, but I love Call of Duty 4's FPS movement. As in Far Cry 2, it's not.......very fun to play. If you guys could make a good update for it soon it'd be better to play.

This appears to be happening to everyone. Connecting to games takes about 2 minutes as well, just to get into a lobby.

The following relates to the online gaming portion of far cry 2:

Please fix the online menu system to be able to join custom games and have an automatic options that let you into games without having to watch 15 screens of games that you can't get into before you find a game that it will let you in to.

Let people join games that are in progress. Let the custom games have custom names, not just generic map names. The way it is currently, you can't tell who created the game, and can't find your friends.

Make a friend invite button. There is a friend accept button but no invite button. What sense does that make?

When you play a ranked game it kicks everyone out at the end of the game. Why cant the game just move everyone to a lobby and wait for the next map to load like COD4.

People who don't have headsets need to be able to hear other people. There are too many people hosting games that don't know how to start the game and therefore have 15 other people in a room waiting on them to click "ready" when they themselves have no idea what to do because they can't hear anyone else.

Make a hardcore mode. Having to shoot someone 5 times to kill them with any gun is ridiculous.

P.S. I think this is an amazing game with awesome maps but you can't even get in them, or enjoy the game in its current state.

I just spent a few hours creating a map and when I just went to test it out the game told me some of my objects had to be deleted... The only option i had was press to press "OK" and now the game froze.

I love this game! ... but there are plenty of things that could use some improvement. The whole place seems so empty! There are civilians everywhere during the opening ride sequence, and that's the last you see of them. I want more civilians, more people who don't just fire on you on sight, as if you have a target on your head. I also want predatory creatures, and creatures of all kinds that belong in africa! Where are the lions? The elephants?? Who can really swim through an african swamp without fear of aligators? COME ON! Just making a few patches to add some more civilians and wild predators would make the game 100% better, which is an amazing feat in itself, since it already rocks so hard. PLEASE PATCH!!!

My "e" button does not interact with the environment..it opens up a "save or don't save" window??

Well, as I mentioned in another thread, played single player only for 17 hours straight with no tech issues. A very satisfied PS3 customer.
