I reinstalled Far Cry today (ver. 1.00) and downloaded the 1.4 Cumulative patch for it, but when I run the patch installer I get this message.

I have not had Far Cry on my computer for four years and would be surprised if an older patch were still lurking around.

Any ideas?

get the microsoft install cleaup utility, and use it to get rid of any patches it comes across. quick search at microsoft.com should find it for you.
