If anyone is wondering if the digitalstore version of Far Cry works on Vista, it may work, but there is a lot of things you need to download and disable, for example the windows vista firewall. I did buy it from the online store but i had so much trouble that i returned it becuase you need to have firefox, which i didn't feel like downloading, and or winzip 11 which costs $20 (on the far cry page it says winzip 9, but it links you to winzip 11's page). I personally found it much easier to buy the hard copy of the disk, because as a vista user it is much less of a hassel. And you dont have to do the admin password thing every 5 seconds.
P.S. If you are very persistant about getting the digitalstore verison to work, I strongly recommend emailing the ubisoft digitalstore and D2D (Direct2Drive). They will actually respond to your emails. One last thing, there is a refund policy if you buy something from the ubisoft digital store, on D2D's website, here is the link http://support.direct2drive.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=3091, good luck trying to get it to work.
