1.1 We hope you enjoy the Ubisoft forums. To ensure your participation is flame free and enjoyable, please take a minute to read these rules.

1.2 Any posts in breach of forum rules will be deleted, and the offender risks banning.


2.0 General Posting Guidelines

2.1 The forum is here to discuss ideas and gameplay (single/multiplayer, modding, ect...)

2.2 Try and stay on-topic within a thread, start a new thread if you move onto a new topic. Excessive off-topic discussion within a topic thread will be removed if it detracts from the discussion.

2.3 This is a moderated forum, do not abuse your membership. Bans may not be reversed, and work on several key identifiers.


3.0 Forum Rules

3.1 Personal attacks: Any posts containing personal or racist attacks will be edited or deleted and the originating account risks banning.

3.2 Flame wars: Flaming is a past time that does have a place on the World Wide Web, but that place is not here. If you cannot hold a reasoned debate without resorting to Flaming, you are not welcome here.

3.3 Forum Moderators: Abuse directed at any of the Ubisoft Moderators will not be tolerated and will result in instant account deletion for the offender. Ubisoft Moderators give their own free time to assist gamers, and have helped countless people get more out of their games.

3.4 Warez: Links to warez sites or discussion of warez is not permitted. Breach of this rule can lead to legal proceedings against Ubisoft, and will not be tolerated. No-CD cracks are against the Ubisoft licensing agreement and are included in this rule - which is strictly enforced. This still applies even to legitimately sort game problems. Further to this, it is Ubisoft policy that Emulation SW, eg SW that can emulate a console on a PC, cannot be discussed, or linked to, here.

3.5 Vulgarity: Swearing is not permitted, it only degrades the forum and dilutes the debate. Posts of a sexual nature or of inappropriate images are included in this rule.

3.6 Disruption: Disruptive or persistently argumentative behaviour will not be tolerated.

3.7 Spam: Do not use the Ubisoft Forums to advertise your business or seek personal gain. People come here to read about Far Cry/Ubisoft games and related topics. The definition of "spam" is down to the forum moderator in the first instance.

3.8 Signature Images (Sigs): Please keep these images to a reasonable file size and vertical height. This is for the benefit of users on a slow connection and to reduce scrolling. Avatars and Sigs of sexual nature, of inappropriate images, or with the use of profanity are not allowed.

3.9 Online Cheating Accusations: While this forum adopts a strict anti online cheating stance, it shall be considerd a breach of forum rules should one member accuse another player or forum member of cheating. The correct place for that type of discussion is www.punksbusted.com. Links to threads at that site are permited as long as individuals are not identified within the post on this forum, however direct links to media are not allowed unless the names have been obscured.

3.10 Abuse of ability to generate multiple accounts: The ability to generate multiple accounts is provided to assist those who have lost their passwords or have online issues with an account they have made. Abuse of this feature, will be considered a breach of the forum rules and account suspension or deletion may follow. Examples of abuses include but are not limited to; posting under an alias while one account is suspended or to conceal a posters true identity to make an inflammatory post.
