Ubi support doesn't help in this case. I'm sick of this Mad . Developers should have tested the game better.

Is there a patch coming soon?

I certainly hope they patch it, i managed to get into the game last night and actually really enjoyed it, until i had to load a save game and got the same problem again. I'm now trying everything I can think of to get it working again but no luck so far.

Loading problems galore here. I can load the game fine, but when I start a game or load a save the loading icon will freeze for over a minute at a time, and in general loading games ~ 5 minutes. Doing a quick save also takes ~ 5 minutes sometimes. I've had lockups with the benchmarking tool, the map editor, and the actual game. This is what I get to supporting a Ubisoft PC product I suppose.

For what it's worth, I'm using my JMicron SATA RAID controller in a RAID0 on my Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 v3.3 motherboard. I'm running NVIDIA 178.24 and the latest Audugy 2 ZS beta drivers, as well as the latest Intel chipset drivers. This occurs with my sound card disabled as well.

Here is a solution, it worked for me.
Try to replace the eax.dll v.3.0.6.2 (it is in the bin directory of the game) with eax.dll v.3.0.6.5. Downloaded from here : http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?eax
Now I load the game and saves with no problems and also this resolved the issue with the bsod's when taking medkits, which was also sound related.

I have disabled my soundcard in the devicemanger, i think this is the english word for it. On my pc it is called "Apparaatbeheer" (dutch) Smile

are they going to patch this soon or should I install my onboard sound?

When installing onboard sound is it best to disable your current sound card or to uninstall your sound card and remove it form the PC?

I´m also stuck in the loading scene. I unloaded the driver for my SB Audigy card and now it works. Pretty lame to play without sound so I´ll just have to wait for a patch.

I have tried the previous Audigy driver and the newest beta driver (sept. 2008) and still the same problem. Still searching for a solution.

I installed my onboard sound and disabled my audigy card, so far it's the only 100% solution I've seen.

Also stuck on loading screen. I've tried unloading audio hardware, disabling startup items in msconfig.exe, running windowed. Nothing works.
Other people with the same setup seem to work,
WinXP sp2, dx9.0c off disk, 8800GT 178drivers

You don't have to disable your sound card just go to direct X diagnostic and click on sound. Where is says full acceleration just slide the slider all the way to the left. You still have sound but the game will load now. If you can't find direct x diag. Just go to the run command then type dxdiag.exe
this will open that up. Maybe somebody should inform Creative Labs about this problem with this type of sound card SB X-Fi Audio

Well, I too am getting stuck on the loading screen. It's like the game hangs but the loading icon still moves.
The only way I can play the game is by disabling my Creative X-Fi Xtremegamer card. But then I have no sound....
My specs are:-
AMD 64 3800
XFX Nvidia 8800GT
Creative X-Fi Xtremegamer
2GB RAM
I've updated every single driver to the latest.
I've tried all the fixes in this thread but the only one that works is to totally disable the Creative sound card. I've tried turning acceleration off, turning off all features on the sound card, rolling back drivers etc etc...
Please can someone fix this?

EVERYONE I HAVE A FIX! well it worked for me, anyway.. just go into dxdiag and click the sound tab. Put the hardware acceleration slider all the way off. (slide to the left)
no more blue screen for me, and with sound. However the sound in game does seem to be slightly laggy, like a moment behind. Better than a kick in the face tho. Im gettin a new soundcard to sort this on out completely.
awesome game so far!

Doesn't seem solve the problem for me Sad
I got it on one quarter of the bar 1/4. But I still wont be able to play the game. Think the best way will be to wait for Ubisoft to patch the game.
