Even though I am running in devmode (I've tested F1, o, p, etc.) I still can't activate god mode. Typing "god_mode_count=1" or any other cheat into the console has no effect (in devmode or otherwise), nor does backspace do anyting.

To get around this, I've tried to open and edit DevMode.lua with Notepad to add the god mode key binding. However, when I try to save the DevMode.lua file I get the following message:

"Cannot create the C:\ProgramFiles...DevMode.lua Make sure that the path and file name are correct."

My questions are:

A) Why can't I save the DevMode file?

B) Why don't the standard cheat codes work?

I'm running Vista and FarCry is patched to 1.4.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
