We were missing the Shuffle button - Kevin told us how to set up auto shuffle.....now what's your problem? He's not taking any credit at all, but getting a thanx for helping out. What does that has to do with you?

Well, I wouldnt be taking credit for thafuriousone's work. If I was taking credit it would be from the WGC who actually are the ones I first learned it from.

Of course, Im not taking credit, I saw Darius back and thought he had another problem. As a MMG member I kinda thought it to be rude to just post a link to thafuriousone's thread as I usually do.

It is nice to have him back though anything to keep the man coming back. Now I just have to figure out how to get him back on the hosting thing...I guess my CTD maps are better, since he just up and left....

Now THAT should do it!

Anyways the auto shuffle by pb tasks was listed here in this very thread when it was first made months ago .

Kevin, no wonder you think your CTD maps are better....we're running TD! (BEEP me, this is a poor map maker - he hasn't even put the diamonds here)

We have a bit more time now, perhaps we should organize a MMG clan session. What about tomorrow, Sunday at noon EST? A small rotation with one map per participant.

Well, Darius, I kind of blended 2 responses in that last post, and I meant the CTD thing for thafuriousone, since he was a good CTD server.

But, getting the mmg back online would be great. I am visiting home this weekend so I wont be able to play, but with the new server system I dont host in-game anymore so I can come to MMG sessions while leaving my server running. I couldnt do that before without shutting my server down, and sundays at athat time are good times to play .

If youd like to next weekend, count me in if we can get a few more. I dont think ffuriouss has internet, but I see sens a lot on xfire so we can contact him.

I have already ask them, But since the patch, the path for custom map look wrong. And my hoster can't find the valid one.
They have say me than i have to find a way for setting an other path in config files LOL. They can't do anything else...

if its a windows server the maps have tobe in the userprofile/my games/farcry 2 folder-
if its linux server- just put the maps into the root of the far cry 2 folder - and list them without subfolder in your config.

Thanks we have try this path but something failed.
We will stop our rent with this hoster.
As soon as somthing failed it is UBI fault.
If you know a good Far cry 2 Hoster (Paris server location) could you send me the link in MP.

Anyone having hosting issues from rental companies: If a group of amateurs can make this server work on our custom built rigs, and the company cannot, something is not right. They either have shady equipment or no real knowlege of how to run it.

i use windows 7 for server as i am beta testing it, was wondoering if far cry 2 deccated server coudl be made to start it always say heres the end of m,y error log but canot get it to work, anyboidy got windows 7 to work and how

run the game form your connection my 8mb connection 375k up runs server fine even whne wiofe on other pc use webcam on skype to family you only rent servers if you conenction cannot ahndle the speed you need

I found a legit reason to bump this!

i did an initial setup of my pbsv.cfg file and am now trying to edit it. However, I've tried rebooting & deleting the original file I created & it wont refresh to the new cfg file. Its using the original setup. I can only assume thats why I'm having issues with my pbrcon file as well.

Is that info stored somewhere else that I need to delete?

EDIT: I Found it...

Apparently when initially starting a server on Vista64 you can use the C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Far Cry 2\bin\pb directory. After those files initiallize the 1st time, they are then IMPORTED to the C:\Users\%USER NAME%\appdata\Local\PunkBuster\FCX\pb directory. You must edit them there. Apparently the \Appdata directory is hidden by default in Vista, so it was overlooked several times.

If you look in the FC2 forum, it's there too, it's linked across the forums since some of the older ones were merged with the newer ones.

Hrrrm. I can get the server to run, and can join myself, but I've had to put pb_sv_disable in the pbsv.cfg file because PB kicks me from my own server... Having poked around various forums, I now need help working out how to kick / ban people and get basic console commands working. I've seen plenty of the commands around, but they spit out "unknown command" in the console.

I've set myself up with an admin password, and can happily login with said password. Can't do nowt else tho'.
