Your guide has allowed a crapy system like mine...
AMD Thnderbird 900MHz (100MHz FSB) GeForce 5200 128 (agp 8x running at 4x) kt133 DFI mother with max 4x agp 512 of pc133 RAM running at 100MHz fsb ...run even better than I could do my self being the Certified PC Tech and hardcore gamer that I am. ------------------------------------------------- SIGH! It's almost time to get a new system. |

Thanks guys, glad to see it's helping. As you say, I too believe a lot of this information should be in the game's manual, particularly regarding the effects of in-game settings.

Nice guide though I wouldn't knock the omega drivers ( www.omegacorner.com )
I just downloaded the latest 2.5.36 driver for my Radeon 8500 64mb card. On my system (Athlon xp1800+, 512mb DDRAM) I had 20 second lock ups every now and then. If I drove a buggy I couldn't change direction without a freeze up. With the latest Omega driver I'm running 1024x768 32bit, textures medium, water, light and shadow low with the smoothness of James Bond in a night club! |

Excellent job PersianImmortal!!! This told me in more detail what some of the more advanced settings do that I was wondering about. Thanks for all the hard work. Guys like you are what make these forums worth visiting, and it should REALLY help a lot of the people having trouble getting the game to run well. Oh, and good job with the corrections/additions Mocib.
Aye, here here... *STICKY THIS*!  The flesh... all too fragile, doth wilt and wither then release from every tendon, and slowly return from whence it was gathered... creating for every worm and maggot a banquet... a veritable feast! |
