Hi, I have trouble installing the game (Far Cry :-)
Everythig seems to be fine and the game is installing, but when it should be finished (after "Publishing Information, or something like that after copying all the files to the HDD) the dialog saying that I terminated the instalation (what I did not) and the system will not be changed appears.
Any suggestions? Please?

Hmm...haven't seen this one before. Try the bottom part of the first post of this thread. Use the tools as necessary. Make sure you are logged in as an admin of the computer when trying to install. That's about all I can think of.

i have tried the solutions mentioned on other pages ie using windows uninstaller and the all in one patch file without success.when using the unofficial all in one patch it says "Right click on the file 133.reg and click Merge".i do that and it says the file is not a registry script ,you can only import registry files.what am i supposed to do?.(other than binning the game)

I have no idea why you get that message when trying to merge the file as it is a proper .reg file. However, it's not totally vital. I just sets the version of the game in the registry for future patch installations. You can find it at:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Crytek\FarCry

Right click on the right side and select New\DWORD value

Type in PatchVersion as one word and set a value of 10033 Hexadecimal

However, having the same problem with some other aplications I decided to reinstall Windows and everything works great now.

I have a problem while installing farcry

all my cds load but my last cd / cd number 5 does not load or copy files to the system.

i tried 2-3 times to install but every time it gives me the same answer

can n e one tell me why this happens or my cd 5 does not load.

i tried deleting some other files and making more space but does not work.\\


can any body reply to this problem i am facing??????

and now its even bad

it does not install even the first cd also

It says "1607: Unable to install Installshield scripting Runtime"

Make sure you have the latest version of Windows Installer on your PC

I did install the updated version of windows installer

My OS was Win XP SP2

So I updated the windows installer and tried to install the game

But now

The installation does not go beyond cd 2

It says that " Error 1305:Error reading form C:/Program files/.........../Farcry/FCData/Music.pak.Verify that file exists and u can access it".

Can any body help me with this????

I think i always face with some problem installing this game.

Maybe a duff cd?

I suggest cleaning your CD's/drive.

This is not correct. The all-in-one I created just doesn't make any Windows Installer entries. Therefore the game doesn't know what patch it is currently on when you use this. well i just tried to update FarCry today and i downloaded the patch 1.4 from UBI site and i cant install it, every time i try, it stop on the folder select screen, i mean i can select the folder but i cant go futher, once i select the folder and i click NEXT it stop, then i click next again and it load the same screen, then i try diff folders and the default folder and same thing happens, i already deleted the windows installshield app and downloaded a new one and same thing happens.

its the cumulative patch since my version is 1.0, the one that come with the CD.

like i said, in the last screen i cant go further, i click NEXT and it load the same screen, my 1st thought was that there is something wrong with installshield script, then i deleted it and downloaded a new one, then i went to my second XP install and got the installshield files from there, didnt work, then i downloaded again and installed and nothing.

any clue about it?

this game works great right now

but the landscapes are not clear and it is difficult to find the road ahead

every thing in the surroundings appears in blue color except the trees

so can any body suggest as to how we can make the landscape clear so that the way or road is clear

hi. I just bought Farcry for PC and i cant get multiplayer to work. Ive made an Ubi account but when i go to log into Ubi on Farcry it just sits there saying "logging in" and never actually does n e thing.. The same thing happened when i tried it on my friends computer to..N e suggestions?...

PS/ another quik question , My Version came with a CD key , but during installation it never asks me for it???

Go back and read the first post in this thread. You need to patch the game to either 1.33 or 1.4

Asking for the CD key during multiplayer setup is normal.

I dont know what is going on. I MORE THAN exceed the requirements for this game I hit play and it just goes to my desktop. doesnt load anything...
I was thinking it was because I have XP Pro x64 edition windows... is there a way to fix this?

hey ummm i installed farcry real copy and i went to the multi player tab and registed and i cant see any multiplayer games and it never asked me for the cd key can anyone help?

Yeah, I got a serious problem. As I was in the middle of installing the game, the frickin power went out. Now whenever I try to install it, an error message keeps comming telling me that "an improper call to (file destination) something". Please help. I even tried registry cleaner.
