Hello. I have just bought the game FarCry but the installation gets stuck at 5th cd (english.pak). I know this happened before when I googled it but the solutions that I could find was to uninstal nero or alcohol. I have not installed any of these programs and therefore I have no idea how to install the game. As a solution I wanted to download the game from steam but the cd-key for the game that I bought has length of 19 while steam accepts cd-keys of length 13, 20 or 25. Does it mean I can't download the game from steam?
Also, how do I solve my installation problem?

Intel core 2 duo 2.2 GHz
2GB ram
windows XP

I have tried again to install the game without any unnecessary programs running but the situation was the same - installation stopped at english.pak, and I got error message reading something like that "application failed to initialize properly" for NoAutoRun.exe. This is really annoying. Could anyone tell me how to fix this problem or how to obtain cd-key of proper length so that I can use it on steam? (I can provide proof of purchase).

The CD key length is 23 for Far Cry. You have to include the dashes.
