I recently started getting BSOD's with farcry v1.4 (build 1405). It happens just when the load finishes. The screen flickers for a moment and the computer restarts, telling me that it has recovered from a serious error on reboot.
I have done all I possibly can to correct this. Reinstalled far cry several times, wiped the registry totally clean of anything containing the words "far cry", reinstalled DirectX and my video drivers. And nothing helps! I don't wanna start the game from the beginning. And there is no telling if it will mess up again.
And now I'm out of ideas. HELP ME.
My config is:
Pentium D@3.4GHz
WinXP SP2
nV GF7900GS with 169.21 drivers(latest).
2gig ram

I have no help, but I am experiencing the exact same issue. It is incredibly frustrating. A question: You say you uninstalled and reinstalled the game, when you did this did you patch to 1.4 again? I did not have this problem prior to that patch. If it is 1.4, I will
uninstall and reinstall and go with a revision below, but yes, I understand about not wanting to start over. I am near the beginning enough to not care much.

Also: do you use the console to save/load games?
