Hey all, I got Far Cry OEM version a year ago (It's already on version 1.31) So I notice I can't put the lightning quality on very high because then my graphics get all messed up. It's really irritating that I can put everyone on the fullest but not that.

So I downloaded 1.32 and it says I don't have patch 1.31 installed. So on until I got the 1.1 patch and it says that I don't have the game installed. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it does not work. Does it mean I can't patch OEM versions?

Are you sure it is patched to 1.31?
What build number does it show on the launch screen?

If so you shouldnt use the 1.32 patch, you need 1.33 and the 1.4 standalone.

Personnaly I wouldnt use the 1.4 until you are ready to play on line since it ruins the SP game.

The build number is 1378 and it says just below "Patch 1.31".
I have tried every single patch 1.1 (says my game is not installed, 1.31 (Error), patch 1.32 (need patch 1.31), patch 1.33 ( need patch 1.32), patch 1.4 ( need patch 1.33)

It is very frustrating. I tried reinstalling and it doesn't help

Two questions

1. when you run the 1.31 patch installer is there an option to remove the 1.31 patch? (I understand that you get an error when you try to install a copy over the existing patch, but did you try to uninstall it?)

2. Do you have the 64 bit version of the game installed? If so, then 1.31 is as high as it goes and you cannot play online either. You will have to uninstall the game and reinstall the 32 bit version.

1. No, it doesn't give me any option, it'll just load the wizard installer thing but will give me the error. How do I uninstall it?

2. The OEM version has both the 32 and 64 bit versions. it did not specify though when I installed it which one was being installed. Is there any way to check which version do I have now?
