Hello, big problem here now!
Haven't been playing FC for a long time and now I reinstalled it with the Patch 1.40. My mouse do work well in the options and everywhere else, but when I start the game after loading it, I can't use the mouse anymore! I can move around as normal (using keyboard) but I can't turn around! The mouse is totaly dead in the game! Does anybody know the problem?

is your mouse plugged into a USB? sometimes that messes up game play and you have to change it

No, I use a wireless mouse!

But one thing makes it very strange and that's that the mouse is normal when I use the computer, start the game or change some settings in the 'options'! But when the game or checkpoint is loaded and I'm in the game, the mouse is out of control.

I can move in any directions, jump or what ever (with the keyboard), but I can't use the mouse for shooting, moving around etc.! Very strange!

Maybe the problem is patch 1.40??? Mayby I have to reinstall the game and try again?

Hi there, no offense but this does not work, at least for me it doesn't. I have the same exact problem, returning to FC after a long haitus with a wireless mouse (Logitech MX1000 Laser) and on v 1.4 (direct d/l a few days ago) whereas before I had a serial mouse and was running I believe 1.1 IIRC but also have run 1.3 with NO problems. Same issue here. I have a wired USB Logitech Mouse and all works fine in "Options" but enter the game and no joy on the mouse! Seems like it's something to do with the 1.4 patch because I have used this SAME machine setup with 1.33 with no problem. Also, does the same thing on my laptop. Again, version 1.4 and MS Wireless USB Mouse. Works in "options" - not "in game." Didn't know what's up.

Tried - "Options|Controls --> Defaults" and ALL GOOD for me.

Do what the man says and click Default controls. You can change the controls after you have clicked default, but to get the mouse working afte the patch (or if yours came as v1.4) you have to click Default on the control scheme. Worked for me just fine. Now if only I could get the NPC's to stop seeing/shooting me through walls.

If you have a friend that plays far cry, then get you game.cfg off them

you have to hit the default button for controls and then dont change the controls again! you can only play the game in default to get the mouse to work! i have the same problem, its a bug that Ubisoft needs to fix, but probably wont...

Have the same prob. going into options and pressing defaults fixes it. Weird bug
