Ok, i am messing with the pb webtool. I have a pbsv.cfg file in my FCX folder, in appdata. It is functioning because the auto messages are scrolling.

However, I cannot log into the pb webtool, it tells me I have a bad key even though I am using exactly what I used in the file.

Any ideas?

Here is the info I have so far:

Create a pbsv.cfg file with wordpad. Put the following into it:

pb_sv_enable
pb_sv_httpPort yourport (port is generally 80 I hear, I am using a diff one I opened myself in the firewall)
pb_sv_httpAddr youripaddress
pb_sv_httpKey yourpassword <-this is what you are supposed to use to login on the pbwebtool login screen
pb_sv_httpRefresh 30

and i put a few message tasks in there, all of which work, which leads me to believe I have done everything correctly. But I still cant login.

Now, when you save it, it has to be pbsv.cfg or it wont work. It has to go in appdata>local>Punkbuster>FCX>pb.

I have added all of my maps (that I run often enough) to the pb_sv_httpMaps line. You need all of the numbers and everything that distinguishes the map. I just left a space inbetween each map, no ; no /.

I went to the maps folder (downloads) and right clicked on each file to open the properties, then right clicked again to cope all ther info out of the text line. This was a tedious process, and made me realize just how many maps I like to run, but it is worth it. Now I can click on the maps tab and choose one on the fly.

Also, you cab use net_skipmap in the 'to console' window and it will send you off to the next world.

Hi Agent,

I can't figure out how to admin force map changes with the "default" maps. I've tried the coded map name and the config map name but pbwebtool doesn't like either.

examples for the Dirty Work & Last Bastion maps

pb_sv_httpMaps "MP_18_Greenhouse MP_25_Prison"

pb_sv_httpMaps "mp_01_dirtywork mp_02_lastbastion"

I guess one way to admin force these maps would be to use admin_setsetting map_cycle & admin_setsetting net_EndMatch 1 but I'm assuming that if you can control custom maps with pbwebtool then there would be a way to control the default maps (I just can't figure out how).

cheers
nedd

If you are using pbweb, you should be able to type net_skipmap in the 'to console' box, and click on it, dont push enter. You may have to clck two times as I usually do to make things work with the webtool. You will obviously have to already have them in rotaion. As for just using those stock maps on the fly, I have no idea.

The 'to console' box can be found on the command screen.
