I just installed Far Cry on a Windows XP Pro Media Center Edition computer. Windows is fully patched. The game is patched to v1.4. On this computer I have two wireless mice. One uses bluetooth. The other is actually an MCE remote made by Gyration and it actually uses radio frequency for connection. Both of these have worked fine in every game I've ever tried, until Far Cry. I can use either of these devices to start the game, select menu options, etc. But once I start the campaign, I have no "Look" control with either device. I can walk back and forth and straif fine using my Gyration radio frequency keyboard. But I cannot turn with the bluetooth mouse nor the Gyration remote. What's more weird is that I bound throwing grenades to the fourth mouse button. At the start of the campaign I can throw rocks using the bluetooth mouse button. I just can't turn. Any ideas? This is bizzare!

It's a bug introduced with patch 1.4
Go to options->controls-> press "default"-> apply. Works again. _____________________________________________ http://rapidshare.com/files/14...7/FCLoader4.rar.html FarCry patch launcher by Clivey http://farcry.filefront.com/fi...s_conversion%3B50861 FarCry 64-bit content (with 32-bit OS) Reinstalled FC and can't install patches? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 |

Thank you. That worked. Fortunately after doing that I was still able to change mappings for keys because I hate to use the default settings.
