Welcome!

The order of the Myst series is:

1. Myst
2. Riven the Sequel to Myst
3. Myst III Exile
4. Myst IV Revelation
5. Myst V End of Ages

Myst and Riven use a slideshow-like format, in Exile and Revelation you can look around freely, but in fixed locations. End of Ages uses a realtime 3D engine, enabling you to move around freely (but you can also choose a Myst/Riven-like interface, or an Exile/Revelation-like interface).

There is a later version of Myst called Myst Masterpiece Edition, with enhanced graphics but unfortunately also some bugs. And there is a realtime 3D version called RealMyst with an extra age to visit.

The Uru trilogy (Ages Beyond Myst, To D'ni and The Path of the Shell) was originally meant to be an online multiplayer game, adapted for single play. It uses a realtime 3D engine, and it fits into the timeline between Revelation and End of Ages.

The online version of Uru was cancelled before it really got started, but it has returned in a slightly different form: see Untìl Uru.
