Far cry 2 is a great game but once you get to the end and walk into the prison you cant leave! It rely ****es me of, there is no reason for the game developers to do this. After you leave the back exit from the prison and going into the heart of darkness the game tells you that you cant go back once you go a little farther, but you can't go back anyway!!! it's rely annoying.

The decision is irreversible. Once you exit the Prison, you can't go back. Much like when you accept a Factions mission, you can't turn around and tell them you've changed your mind.

You can't turn around and let the Jackal know you've changed your mind.



But when it warns you, it is because you're entering the Heart of Darkness. It's saying that the terrain is very rocky, and you won't be able to go back up the terrain for safety or a viewpoint. Once you're down, you're down...

Not sure why this has always been an 'issue' for players. . .unless of course they haven't discovered that saving is incorporated into the consoles and the game can be saved at any point with the PC version.

I totally understand that you can't go back, but I can't seem to go forward and out of the swamp area to the second Safe house. There seems to be a big ravine that I can't seem to get across. Am I missing a path to the other side?

Go down the left side to head to the bottom of the ravine. As you move to the other end you'll see a crashed plane on your left. If you look to the right of the plane you'll find a path leading up. The path takes you to a natural bridge that will let you reach the other side.
