[ALL] espesially the [PS3] because that is what i have... lol

1. enemy respawn time at checkpoints omg. i kill them at a check point do a little mission going back through the same checkpoint after a minute BAM! i'm being shot at!...i'm like, i just killed all of you!!

2. which i think is the most IMPORTANT ONE! ADD 'A JUMP TO MISSION' OPTION OR 'SKIP TO MISSION' OPTION! GOSH! its soo anoying when i have to travel all the way from one side of the map to the other side to accept a mission then go all the way across the map to DO the mission then all the way acroos again to do something else! and with all those super anoying checkpoints while loads of random people shooting at me for NO REASON!!!(i'll get to that) when you add the skip option make it skip to near the mission destination of something and the option should be included in every mission because i can't deal with it. if i dont get any response i'm taking the game back i dont care how good it looks so now you know how much of a big deal this is to me and i'm sure alot more people

3. is what all the people have said above. i dont have to tell you guys again.

that skip option is a pretty big deal so please make it into a patch because i'm not paying for an option its should have been in the game in the 1st place! some people like to go around the map others dont! i understand you are going for realism but its a game and you have to understand that most gamers are "lazy" (including me) and it should be included in everywhere you go like if you want to the weapons shop you can just jump to it instead of driving all the way and being shot at along the way! its a civil war game not 'KILL THE GAMER 2' from the start everyone you meet wants to kill you! :S... you should change that to like if you shoot at the checkpoints then they can com after you or if you steal or if you go into this hut or something other than going to through there and getiing shot for no reason. im going to stop playing the story mode and only play online till its fixed if not bye to farcry2 3 4 5 6!

Multiplayer split screen, so you can play online with friends in the same room as you (not nessecerily ranked, but player) or at least local split screen.

and for gods sake increase the time it takes for gaurd posts to reapwan or at least make some where they only shoot you if you don't stop and talk to them

- Fix all DX10-related crashes
- Fix stuttering occurring with a lot of ATI and nVidia cards
- Proper multi-GPU support (SLI & CrossfireX)
- Adjustable slider for music volume and sound FX volume
- Option to select what type of sound output you're using (headphones, 2.1 speakers, 5.1 speakers, etc...)
- Enemies and animals don't die when they touch your vehicle while it isn't moving or you're even in it
- Enable us to look at the time of day either on the on-screen watch or on the menu somewhere
- You can see what the scope is seeing when not looking through it
- Fix fire graphics not being created when used on a vehicle, explosive barrel or ammo container
- Large animals should have more mass to them when they get hit. This adds not only realism to the game but creates an obstacle when being chased
- AI shouldn't immediately jump into a vehicle the moment they see you on foot or in a vehicle. If they're right in front of you they shouldn't run to a vehicle, jump in, jump right out and start firing at you.
- Tires should be able to get shot-out or damaged.
- Enable more console commands to adjust sound settings, key bindings (multiple keys for the same action) and some cheats (for those who are either stuck in the game or encounter a bug).
- Fix AI spawning inside rocks or underneath the map (Main NPCs are spawning underneath the map and disable players from moving forward in the game)
- Remove the Blue Save boxes since they're redundant because you can save anytime through the menu (I guess this is left-over from the console version?)
- Flickering textures and over-bright textures on cliffs, mountains and trees (plus other various random textures) needs to be fixed (DX9... not too sure about DX10)
- Proper 64-bit support so that all 4+GB of memory resources can be used
- Post-Storyline exploration after completing the game
- Mod SDK Tools and a "Enable/Disable Mod" menu item (This will increase the shelf life of your product)
- After purchasing the camouflage upgrade, show some sort of change in your character's hands and arms
- After blowing up, the interiors of vehicles should be more damaged
- Blood on the machete after being used
- Enemy corpses shouldn't be invulnerable (some burnt/ripped clothing and bullet holes should be apparent after death
- Better/easier/less-awkward jumping and running controls
- Prone and leaning added
- Medium-sized trees and saplings should be able to get run-over with enough momentum from a vehicle
- Enemies outside of a safe house or underground hide-out need to be sped-up or disappear after sleeping for a certain amount of time. Sleeping for 12 hours only to find the same enemy in the exact same place is not very good.
- IEDs actually attach to vehicles and objects
- Being able to switch guns in the middle of a reload animation
- A flashlight, night vision or thermal vision upgrade should be added
- During night time, have almost total pitch-dark in the jungle... make it more spooky
- Cliffs and rocks should be easier to navigate and climb (jump onto)
- Be able to hear your character's voice... at least say "Hello?" when answering the phone. If you're sneaking around or in the middle of a firefight, the phone should make a vibrating noise instead of a loud ringing noise
- Birds should be able to get shot down
- Crates should be able to get destroyed or set on fire
- After finishing Buddy missions at Mike's Bar, you shouldn't have to leave the map area and return just to take the next mission. Missions should be re-enabled after leaving the bar at least.
- Malaria is cool and everything, but it should get its own button and you shouldn't have to heal first to take a pill.
- Seeing more underwater things like fish and plant life would be nice
- Hanging vines should be able to get moved by you or a vehicle
- More enemy NPC sayings rather than the same lines over and over again
- The monocular should be able to mark vehicles, explosive barrels and stationary guns on the map temporarily
- Dart rifle hits shouldn't have so much blood
- Proper animations for weapons when they run out of ammo (i.e. pistol with an empty clip has the slide back)
- When reloading when having a loaded round in the chamber, the total amount of bullets in your fresh clip should be that amount + 1 (the one in the chamber)
- Realistic bullet-drop and riccochet
- Should be able to look "behind" you while in the swamp boat (since you're sitting sideways, why can't you look to your left shoudler?)
- Turret on swamp boat needs to be able to swivel more
- Menu option to turn off highlighted/glowing items/weapons
- Better mouse main menu UI movement
- Spawning of enemies at checkpoints should depend on difficulty level (spawn more often in Hardcore than Easy)
- Vehicles shouldn't be getting stuck on rocks or barrels and not be able to move
- Enemy NPCs need to be fixed so they don't spin around and shoot you with their backs
- NPCs equipped with flare guns shouldn't have two things melded together in their pistol holster (would make more sense to just make the flare gun invisible)
- Fix cellphone conversations not being initiated sometimes
- Menu-accessible map that lets you plot waypoints
- Signposts need to be destroyable
- Only one Asian mercenary in the entire game? You need to add more random Asian mercenary enemies.
- Commanders at checkpoints or in squads need to be more visibly identifiable

Fix AI so they dont ram into you when you're in your vehicle every time.

I'd like an option for a toggle-zoom key/button

I also like the idea of the progressive respawning of the roadblocks, particularly if you could interdict their re-supply on the roads. This would allow the player to clean routes across the map by suppressing the checkpoints. But it should also increase the likelihood of an ambush.

This thread gives me some hope for the game, thanks. Smile

My Wishlist is for the PC, in order of importance:

PC:
1)Stop enemies from respawning or bring it back to once every 24 hours. Maybe have options for how fast(up till no respawn at all).

2) Prone position as in Far Cry. So very slow movement, but much less visable to enemies and also taking less damage.

3)A tiered zoom for our monocular: makes it more fun an easier to scout an area and get an overview.

4) being able to overhear conversations of enemy NPC's with our Monocular as in Far Cry 1

5) being able to scout out and register Enemies with our monocular so that they appear as dots on our map: again, as in Far Cry 1

6) a Minimap, as in Far Cry 1.

But points 1 and 2 are the most important, they would make me actually start playing the game again.

Is there a known memory leak ? Playing for extendeded periods the game / mouse & movements become impossible to control [laggy] .
My specs =
intel e6750 core 2
evga 680 i mb
4 g ocz dddr2 xtc gold 8500
9800 gt evga
windows xp srvpk 3
all updated drivers & no overclocking

this is the most serious "real" issue i've come across in sngl plyr , all else i read here [gripes] don't adress anything but tweacks to the game files .


We are aware of these problems and working hard to solve them. lol We are very sorry for the troubles you may experience lol

BUGS [PC]
  • Proper horizontal+ widescreen support
  • Key mapping not working properly with stationary guns.
  • Weird colors(pink, red, green, purple) on textures
  • Objects are bigger than they appear. Taking cover behind a big tree for example, or by a window in a building, will have the shots hit the tree/wall even though the sight is clearly not on the object.
  • The speach of enemies is too loud. Judging by the sound they should be around the corner, when in fact they are on the other side of the next mountain.



GENERAL GAMEPLAY [PC]
  • Add weapon sway, perticulary to sniper rifles
  • Have EIDs take the special weapon slot, instead of the secondary one
  • Add a climbing animation which will let the player climb up on chest high rocks/objects.
  • Let car tires be destroyable.



SINGLEPLAYER [ALL]
  • Less bulletproof npcs
  • Incrase the spawn time at guardposts
  • Let the player add personal pins with notes on map
  • Add random walking patrols of 2-3 enemies.
  • Increase the chance of new weapon malfunctioning
  • An option(infamous difficluty?) to have guard posts hidden on the map until discovered in game.
  • There needs to be skirmishes between APR and UFLL. Raiding each other's guard post or random car patrols killing each other of.



EDITOR [PC]
  • The middle mouse button should move the view in strict X and Z, no matter what angle the camera is in.



AESTHETIC [PC]
  • Better night experience. Darker, more shadows and possibly more light effects(the light effects is what makes the game look great).
  • Better looking enemy models. The NPCs that you interact with seems to be of a higher quality than the once you shoot. Update the enemies to the same lvl as the rest of the human models.
  • A "wetness" effect/filter needs to be added for when the player model is swiming and for most objects such as cars, enemies, cars etc. when it's raining.
  • Have the wind shield on cars move during rain.
  • Improve the swimming forward animation to fit the actual swimming speed. Right now it seems as if the water has the same density as cotton or feathers.
  • Improved underwater experience. More objects underwater needed.
  • Improve the lens of the MI903 and Dragunov SVD sniper rifles. It needs to reflect the world (even if it's a pre rendered reflection as of the AS50 lens).
  • Have fire be a true lightsource that'll have objects cast shadows.

hope it's not because of the OLD drivers from creative, if i have to wait for those i can wait couple of months :s (last drivers 30July 08)

Add more Smoke to the fire!!!

EDIT:: right after this post a LOUD crackle and no sound anymore :s (when i finished this edit there is sound again :s weeeeiiiird)

I'm playing on PC and here's my list:

- increase respawn time of enemies at checkpoints
This has been mentioned so often, do you think devs got the hint by now? Razz

- slider for music volume
The music is great, just a tad too loud. Needs to be more subtle.

- single extra slot for quicksaves only
As it is now, those boxes on the wall for saving are redundant. Having all quicksaves go in a dedicated slot makes them useful again and players might think twice when quicksaving in the field.

- key bind to show watch at any time
Needs no explanation.

- more black guys
This is supposed to be Africa, how come 4 in 5 guys are not Africans? Razz

Console-specific bugs/issues:


1:

Deadzone area in the analog joysticks (and also triggers) setting is too high. Call of Duty 4 was an example of a console FPS with a PERFECT amount of deadzone, as it was very little amount of deadzone, and responded very precisely to the slightest nuances and movements of your thumbs. This allowed for precise and accurate aiming, which is what accounts for why everyone calls COD4 one of the "smoothest-playing shooters/FPS in the industry." The reason: very little joystick-deadzone area/setting, which allows for the most precise and smooth/responsive aiming possible.

COD4 definitely does this right, and Ubisoft needs to (very easily) emulate this in all of their games. It's an easy, easy fix, that would be EXTREMELY easy to implement.


2:

FOV of the Widescreen mode needs to be expanded in the console versions. PC version will be receiving an official fix for this, and hopefully the consoles will too. Right now, the FOV feels too constricted/narrow, and the player can't see much in their peripheral vision. Call of Duty 4 had the PERFECT FOV setting, and Far Cry 2 should use the same setting as COD4 (once again).

3:

Ubisoft needs to fix the PS3 version's random, occasional sound cutting out when firing a weapon. It's really annoying, and ruins the immersion/experience.

This is already one of the greatest games ive played in a long time, and im very impressed by it. Its a huge step in the right direction. But it would be nice to have some ai that doesnt try to have a staring contest with u and actually realizes u r there right away. Maybe have 2 primary weapons like an assault rifle and a sniper instead of having to have a special weapon. Prone would be good too. Other than that this game, in my opinion, is the ***t Happy

Good job Ubisoft. Haven't had any bugs so far and the game runs smooth [PS3]. Not like Assassins Creed, when it came out. Big Grin

But a few things:
- The outposts are very fast re-occupied, after you whipe them out. There should at least be one hour until the enemies return.

- Add civilians to the cities.

Thats about all for the SP mode.

Some selective fire modes added to weapons.
FOV and enemy respawn (it's not like they haven't been beaten to death already)
Maybe the ability to buy different types of ammo? I would like to have my rifle w/ armor piercing and my PKM w/ incindiery
PRONE POSITION PLEASE
More NPCs and wildlife
Fix number of shots it takes to kill someone. 6 7.62mm bullets is a little excessive, kay?
More grenade types - smoke or white phosphorous, would be nice to have those available for launchers too
More destructible-ness, I wanna be able to level that house - nothin' but foundation left
Watch when wandering around to see time
Not crash me to desktop when changing AA modes
Fix random FPS drops to like 2 FPS. It just sorta happens. A lot. 35-40 average, but after a while. 2. Freaking. FPS.(Have to turn VSYNC on and off a couple times to fix it.)
