Sooooo when is the next patch going to be released?

It's now APRIL and we were promised March. No updates or communication on this topic. Very disheartening. Everyone will have quit by the time the patch comes out.

Applicable to Far Cry 2 overall.

Please please please please pleaaaaseeee disable CD check in the next patch.
Far Cry 2 already has online activation, there is absolutely no need whatsoever to keep the disc in the drive to play!

Thats one thing i praise EA games for, last two titles i bought from them may have had evil DRM but it sure did not require disc to play.

I have a couple

1. Elimate most mountain ranges. This hampers the open world sense of the game, we have no way to travel over most of them and we have to use roads, even when I'm on foot. Only a few parts of the map allow free movement.

2. Elimate diamonds and replace them with paper money. This way (if an xp system is made) you can get rewarded for your killing. The diamonds may still remain if you can sell the for a lot of in game money.

3. Add new vehicles or possibly upgrade some. For a certain amount of money you can get rid of your assault truck at hide outs and weapon shops for a humvee. This has much more protection, can carry more people, possibly able to go faster (that thing can go pretty fast despite it's size). Maybe some tanks, of course for the early tanks you find you can only see through the hole in the front when driving and see around when you stick your head to man one of the machine guns. Later ones will have a periscope(the electronic kind, in case people actually thought of the reflecting kind)and be much safer. These would take multiple people to man effiecently(you could do it by yourself, but it would be a pain to do since the tank is bigger and harder to get through). Also a helocopter and planes. Maybe a very expensive vtol can be bought or an osprey.

4. Expand the buddy system. Make your buddies stick with you, and be able to command them. These will only be a certain amount of buddies, probably 3 others at the most. Others can provide missions, dicscounts, and transportation(maybe an aviator type guy, who comes in with an upgradeable plane or helicopter to provide air support or shuttle you around.) Could also bring in co op.

5. New weapons and changes. Get rid of the dart rifle and replace it with the other sniper rifles, all of them able to be silenced(see my silencers aguement). Also don't start with assault rifles. Start with a MP5, then a UMP, then the option to get the G3ka4 or a Kriss(low recoil .45 smg). Then you can modify the the smgs to be able to be small enough to be secondaries. Retracting or folding stocks etc. The best smg would be the mp7a1. Please give more customization to weapons. Like better sights with multiple zooms(ar-16 does have slight tunnel vision when enemies get within about 2 meters.) I also agree that the weapon inventory should be changed, so no special weapons, all of them are primary and you can carry 2 primary.

6. Change how the mercanary carries his weapon. Honestly, when you still want to fire but do not want aim down the sights, you put your eyes above the sights and the rifle pointing forward. Even when house clearing in Iraq soldiers put the stock next to their shoulder, but still had their eyes above the sights, with their head, rifle, or arm tilted. Other games have a recticle to correct the odd situation in which the gun should shoot to the left, but that ruins realism.

I can't get past 46% because the Hakim on the barge Glitch that all platforms are having.

Also the Safari Tour Achievement is broken for me.

It would be nice to see those fixed...

I'm also stuck at 46% with the barge glitch. [Ps3], although I've heard this is a problem on all platforms. Other than that, I'd say longer spawn times for guard posts and I'd be pretty satisfied. But as it is right now, I can't rally play the game without starting over.

I don't know if it has been mentioned but on [360] it'd be nice if when an enemy is shooting they actually miss when they're not aiming at you.

I've had enemies aiming a full 90 degrees away from me (think they are the center of a clock, I'm at 12 and they're aiming at 9 or 3) and their shots will hit me. I've seen the tracer rounds come OUT of their body and hit me.


Oh! How about we change that Soldier of Misfortune Achievement. I have *never* spent nearly enough time (maybe a quarter of the time nessecary) on a game to get that type of achievement. And looking at the public ratios (trueachievements.com, gamercard.net) of that achievement, it looks like the only way to get it is to be really really really good with all the time on their hands or to glitch/hack it.

It's also annoying how they can strafe me, when moving their accuracy is insane, when i fire on them they just walk right through, so heres some solutions.

1.Please make your character and the enemies weaker.

2. Cripple limbs. Why can't I fire a burst at some ones leg but they still walk fine, or shoot them in the arm and they are still accurate.

Yes, anyone who's played on Infamous will tell you it's hard, but the only reason why it may have been hard for me was due to the increase in enemay AI accuracy. Why not just throw that idea out the window? After all, the majority of shooters have already salvaged that one. Instead, set them on Hardcore and then shower those buggers with beautiful MGLs, 50cals, USAS12s, Flamethrowers, and even IEDs. I seriously wouldn't mind if I almost died from a bullet the size of my hand, or watching them set IEDs and accidentally blow themselves up. Why not make the game a bit more intriguing on those harder difficulties?

the 2 first timesplitters worked that way, increasing the difficulty level made the levels longer, with more objectives, more numerous and stronger enemies, sometimes there were even some changes for a nasty surprise.

but on most FPS it seems increasing the difficulty only makes enemy more resistant and you weaker.
