Hi Guys,

Its become obvious that outside of the general feedback/bug report threads, a large number of you want to discuss issues as candidates for patching on the various platforms.

As the Dev Team are still evaluating the reports they have to date, no commitment can be given at this time as to what if anything will be patched, although I am sure that as soon as they are in a position to, the COMDEVS will update you on this.

In the meantime, both to keep the forums tidy and to give UBI chance to guage your opinion on what the most pressing issues are we are opening two threads.

This is the Single Player Patch Community Wishlist.

It has a twin thread for MultiPlayer here.

Please use this thread to document for UBI what you believe should be changed, making it clear if your request is for [PC], [360], [PS3] or [ALL]

As is always the case, while they cant guarantee to include specific requests in an eventual patch, they will listen to and consider them.

Please note that existing patch request threads, and any new ones will be closed on an 'as bumped basis'

A couple small requests, potentially for [ALL]

1. Although it does keep the action moving, getting attacked at every checkpoint regardless of what I do is a bit of a drag. I'm not asking for NPC's with full voice acting that I can talk to and interact with, maybe some variability in their actions instead of just defaulting to "attack" mode. For example, maybe some camps don't attack you unless you're "on foot" as opposed to driving by. Perhaps an attack by some camps occurs if you fire your weapon, blow something up, damage something, or take something. I like the idea that some of the camps just attack you on sight for no apparent reason. Just mix things up a bit to lend another factor of unpredictability to the game.

2. I'm not sure if this should be addressed as DLC or a patch, but more animals (especially ones that attack you) should be added. Specifically, I'd like to see a lion or even better, a whole pride.

For [PC]

Many games that support the Xbox 360 gamepad provide "hints" specifically for that controller during the tutorial. While it's nice to see support for the controller itself in Far Cry 2, it's confusing when the tutorial says "press 5 for the map" and this is really the "back" button on the controller. It'd be nice if the game had "smarts" to know if the player was using the Xbox 360 controller and adapted the "hints" during the tutorial accordingly.

a VERY minor and easy to fix one: [ALL] (propably)

Let bullet wounds on enemy last for more than a single second ... like a 30 to a minute...

-allow me to fully remap my keys, I have 'e' key re-purposed so if I grab ahold of a fixed gun, even the ones in trucks I can't let them go.

Also: dont release a beta as a full game. It doesnt even support widescreen properly. What the hell?

Oh right, camo is almost useless, enemies can see through walls after they've spotted you and seem to know where you are. Most likely still missing something.

A couple of simple things:

- More time between respawning in checkpoints, like 24 hours.
- Be able to see the time of the day when outside.
- And most important, fix the game breaker bugs. Didn't had one yet, but I read severals topics of guys that are having problems with inaccesible NPCs because of closed doors. Check those problems please.

Do this and this will be a perfect game for me.

suggestions for PC & console

Make the vehicles driven by AI the same as player
i.e not nitro fueled so you can't outrun them.

Add civilians walking along the road occasionally as in the opening sequence inc women with pots on their heads.

The whole land is only populated with men with a killer instinct & it ruins the anticipation as you approach a new area, are they friendly? will they try & kill me? I already know before I get there & it needs to be more like Stalker where the faction you join won't attack you.

A slider to reduce or turn off bob when running, it makes some players inc. myself feel motion sickness.

Remove the pointless & annoying Malaria or make the tablets available to buy at gunshops

- This has been said, but it is so important it should be said again (and again and again): decrease spawn times for camps. I don't know how much the dev team is willing to change the game in a patch, but what if the checkpoints were not repopulated for a day if you don't "scout" them, and like 2-4 days if you do?

- Eliminate X-ray eyed enemies, I understand spraying through the the wall but they obviously know exactly where the player is, even after moving.

[PC]
- Fix hypersensitive monocular, one "tick" of mouse movement makes the mono jerk and makes it hard to use. Also, a hotkey to go straight to monocular would be nice (I don't think there is one, correct me if I am wrong.)

- Scope/gun swaying, feels so unrealistic that your aim is always 100% steady, basicly point and click and no real skill involved in sniping.

PS3 - Make it work .. players can't finish the game and get stuck, trophies don't work at all etc.

The buggiest ps3 game i've seen so far ... horrible

2. Most important, select fire option on weapons (single shot, burst, auto)

First off, the game is great apart from a couple of minor issues, i.e no widescreen support and it would be a good addition to add prone, especially for the snipers. Short respawn times is'nt a major issue for me but make it less obvious, maybe a couple of hours would be enough to keep most people happy. Any longer than that and there would be nothing to break up the travelling between missions.

Most important first:

1. Change respawn time! 24 hours sounds reasonable

2. Reduce number of encounters with enemy vehicles by roughly 90%.

3. Adjustable enemy health in options-game. One or maximum two shots should kill any enemy. But make it optional to please everyone.

Secondary suggestions:

1. Possibility to check hour of day at any time

2. Not every location or building needs to be populated by enemies at any given time.

3. Neutral NPC encounters. E g civilians or refugees.

4. Add binoculars

5. Make machete a one hit/one kill weapon if used from behind

6. Notification when buddy are killed

[PC] Aswell as the formentioned claustrophobic widescreen FOV, the "turn your back" respawns and the distinct lack of anything other than gun toting men that instantly want to kill you the moment they see and/or hear you. Here is a few other things to tweak.
The Map and Monocle together simply doesnt work for two reasons, one the map obscures the players view, and two no zoom?! at least let the keys be bound seperately.
The view through the monocle is extremely sensitive.
Add an option to turn game help off, things like blinking ammo and highlighted waypoints wreaks of consoles.
Being able to view the watch when not by a bed would be nice.

1. More wildlife, i rarely see any.
2. Im tired of getting attacked by EVERYONE. Are there no passive civilians left driving around?
3. If Im working for a faction and are really high in those missions, then its ppl shouldn't attack me.
4. The watch controls are a bit iffy
5. Cars break to easily.
6. The monocular is such a pain to use, why is the map the gateway to use it?
7. Let us see our watch all the time.
8. Why would the opening scene show civilins and stuff but you never see any again.
9. Factions only attack me?! Whats the point of stating its a civil war?
10. No ATVs!?
11. Malaria was a pointless addition, at least let me get pills at the gun shop, or in my Safe houses.
12. Co-op is an obvious thing when the main game allows buddies to come help you, why not have one constant buddy?
13. CHECKPOINTS/ AUTO SAVES. Im tired of traveling forever from my last save to a mission and dieing! The having to re do it all.

PREDATORS! it is quite stupied to swim in a lake, in an AFRICAN country, without aligators and hippos trying to kill you, with predoators the gameplay will be better, because than we will have to be aware of trying to be as quiet as possible, so no lions will come and eat you, and the you'll have to throw a grenade into the lake, so no aligators will attack you, and if you forget and doing everything very fast, you're screwed...

3. Don't make enemies respawn so fast, i don't expect to come to a village, kill everyone, and when I'm coming back after a month, everyone will respawn, make them respawn slower, they come one by one, maybe two by two, but not everyone at the same time.

I agree, maybe there are merceneries that has the same mission as you, you can find other people walking around, by the roads, not only in towns...

When you drive towards a cacti i want it to be smashed, not feel like it has steel enhanced body armor.

Some AI have superman sight, make it more realistic that they cant see you behind bushes. Or when its foggy i cant see the enemy as the fog is so dense, but they can see me.

Driving the jeeps are like driving a wooden chest, they just dont feel nice

When driving i see there is a gear shift, if your not planning to animate the hand in shifting, then for god sake remove the damn Poke.

I want to see realistic snipe loops when i hold the gun in iron sight. It`s a simple flat 8 loop, they use it in any todays sniper rifles.
Also include a hold breath button

When wearing camo suite, it would be nice to notice it.

Make your buddy AI smarter, i had fire to my right side, he told me watch out for the fire, this was great, so i walked away, untill he walked in the fire himself, what an idiot. I had to save his life as he was to dumb to listen to his own words.

Some obviuose destructable objects such as metal roof platings should be destroyed the same way as the small wouden sheds.

I like the game much, but the console strait to pc conversion is a bit dissapointing. the quality of this game is so high, but due to small basic things it just reduces it to just a buggy game.
