Damn, I'm sure you're right. What liberties. At least we'll have a date to look forward to so I know when to drop the game and when to start playing it again.

Yes... that's how much I'm beginning to dislike this game without the update, specifically the Hardcore Mode.

sounds great but its too late, i've already given up on Ubisoft and Far Cry 2 becoming the game it ought to be, what might change my mind would be a

"Sorry guys, we made one helluva crap game. We're gonna make it up to you by making a super patch which will fix and add everything you guys say, and get off our high horses, thinking

type speech. and then you work overtime and get it done within a month. THAT would get me back into the game, after Fallout 3.

If you are having problems with crashes, that is because you are running the game in DX10, I found out that DX10 crashes, and DX9 does not. And for the performance its almost no difference.
And one more thing: if you try to alt-tab with DX9 the game will sometimes freeze

LOL I have heard this all before I played FC2 fine for a wile then reinstalled it and now it just crashes all the time without fail I never have run FC2 in DX10.

So what about signal player patch?? What about the memory leak that making the game crash?? What about making the a beta patch so people can test it, since the game is still beta??

Atmon has already confirmed the Save Game glitch is being patched and will be in the new Title Update. Maybe if kept your eyes glued to the main website too.

Well maybe if you checked what you was bitching about in the first place then you wouldnt have to be corrected.

I can't answer your question, there's only so much us people know and I just told you it.

Save Game Glitch has been identified, it's being patched and will come with the Title Update which already has a nice juicy list of fixes for the Multiplayer side of things. That's probably the last you saw before you left.

Did they stop doing the developer videos, i thought that was going to be a monthly deal?

i play it in dx 10 also with no issues, maybe a computer upgrade would help...

It'd be nice to see some new videos on the main page, since it's getting a bit dry - this website.

the PS3 multiplayer is down so i think they are kinda doing something with the servers so they can add the hardcore modus?

it kinda sucks that i couldn't play this weekend though..

I think this week is a good possibility. looking forward to it. havent had reason to pick up the game in weeks, the controls are just too wacky. So for now Killzone 2 occupies my time... hopefully Ubi has listened to this forum and has implemented some tweaks however minor to the FC2 controls... if not I'll sadly probably not pick up the game much. But still, im interested to see what changes they have implemented. No matter what, I think this should be a pretty good improvement on the game.

just a little advice to ubi. it might be wise to advertise this update. maybe on the marketplace on the xbox for example. i personally know quite a few people who have completely lost all interest in far cry and never intend to give it a second go. hence u will never get that part of the player population back. as it is, youve got noobs and the die hard far cry fans populating your servers. sadly both are a minority. u need to get the majority back, and that requires letting the general gaming public know about this update. this coming from someone who has spent the majority of my time since release fragging up, down, and sideways across ur servers. the player population has dwindled to a sad number (on xbox anyway) compared to what it once was and it hasnt even been half a year yet.

heres hoping for a near future where there will be lots o'people to shoot at, and awesomeness will ensue.

I think Ubi already advertise garbage enough as it is my friend.

It's not Marketplace material, it's simply an Update that'll pop up when you run the game when this Update finally arrives.

For those who wondered what the Xbox 360 update was several months ago, it was to patch the glitch where you could use the Mortar to get in a building, and then kill key characters who are not meant to die, e.g The Jackal when you meet him at the Prison. I think that means his characters is invisible in future! Who knows!?

It's patched now, not the Mortar Glitch (Fun stuff by the way), but the fact that they die. They dont retaliate to your shots but they dont die which sucks ***.

i realize its only an update but ubi has already screwed the pooch. As i said the majority of the past far cry population has come and gone and have no intentions of putting far cry back in the disc tray. therefore this update is falling on deaf ears and is pretty much pointless to all but the minority that has stuck it out this long and the noobs to be. Im just sayin if this update improves the game as much as its supposed to, and makes far cry what it should have been at release, wouldnt it make sense to do whatever is needed to make that second impression to as many people as possible?

Steam is having a whole week of Ubisoft related sales, bets on there being one for Far Cry 2. (A perfect time to release the patch.)

First Iam a bit anoyed of people who dont stop writte here that they dont care about FC-2 anymore, but they still come back regularlly just to make post like this. Iam really dont understand, why they need to do it ..?!?
Yes, maybe is truth that many players from original FaCry community left, but not all of them (I played FacCry for three years and still see arround lots of others). About those who leaved already - well, maybe they expected same game but it isnt. And that is good, because otherways why would they create new game when it would be same ?!
And dont worry - when updateds come, here would be still lots of people whose waiting for.
Of course - give us some updates more often will keep here even more people and this is what UBI should maybe improve.

so whens it coming out? and usually release date means when it is released not when they release a date.... liek for games, it says release dat and thats when it comes out
