Sorry, didn't notice that they gave pc a seperate forum. I would of rather they spent their time on a good patch for the pc.

Considering the series originates from the PC, I think PC buyers have had it pretty good. Great graphics depending on your computer, a quicker and easier map-making feature, including some features us Console users weren't able to use - lightbulbs in the Map Editor.


And several patches here and there.

I think Console users were paid their due by getting the Title Update a little earlier than you guys.

Maybe there should be a hardcore mode thread in the PC section as well? or is it that hardcore for PC was shelved? I know you cannot answer the second question.

Since this is the Hardcore Mode thread, what does everybody think of Hardcore?

I love the way everyones using it, I imagined it'd be half and half whether it was being used or not.

I like the fact that nobodys gamertag gets shown. That's great. And killing is far easier, and funner. If I had the friends to play online with it'd be a nice multiplayer now.

One thing I'm disapointed with is the way the rebalanced the weapons .On one note its O.K. because of the hardcore mode and the way every weapon is more dangerous,but I hate when bullets just STOP working on omse of the weapons at rediculously short range.
I think they beefed up the vehicles when it comes to driving over terrain(I like that alot).
All and all the update and the hardcore mode is much liked for me.
I like the 5 second respawn timer.

i would comment on the hardcore mode but i have far cry on the ps3 and since ubi are such slow pathetic retards i dont have the patch. the only thing i want changed is not have to wait 20 minutes for a game where everyone just stacks teams and launch mgls around. i am level 20 kd 3.62 100 hours playtime therefore i am very good but i still try to even teams out when hosting by changing to dm then back to ctd. however when im not hosting i try to go on weakest team to even it out. but get banned

so! whats this hardcore mode you speak of?????

I can,t play without hcmode anymore hehe , I LOVE IT , it so more balanced now, no longer fc2 is AS50 game, great feature that should be mandetory now change the spawnprotection (I HATE IT) or turn it OFF and the game starting to reach perfection, ps server crashes a lot if you can fix that too ?, greetings stano666 (PS3)

I have the latest PS3 patch, but cannot see this 'hardcore' mode. Does it affect all games, as it doesn't seem to be an option when browsing for games and in the lobby you can't tell if you are in 'hardcore' mode.

All the other fixes are obvious like ranked matches on user maps are obvious (and great), though I'm disappointed you still can't join ranked games in progress. Not only are there less games to join these days, but with all the team stacking that goes on you often end up on a team that everybody quits in the middle of the game. You have the choice of getting completely owned 8 versus 4 or quiting and losing XP. Not fun. They should either allow joining ranked matches in progress or dynamically adjust which team players are on at respawn if one side ends up with less players.

Can someone please tell me where this feature is specifically? I cannot tell what is hardcore and what is not.

so far the only way to tell is to join the room in the lobby there will be a red target/bullet logo on the left of the player list, or if you join a game mid play and when you target an opponent if their name appears over their head then its not on HC mode

Is this also for single player?
